Pledge Furniture Polish!!
Trust me on this. Buy a can and do a fender. If you like the matte finish (and will have a degree of protection) do the entire truck. Please let me know how it goes.
this sounds great! Thanks for this tip, I would have never thought of that!
I have never seen that show, sorry, but thanks for the links. I will have to check that out!
There is no way this thing is getting restored. Its fun to use. If it had a perfect paint job and body, I would feel very guilty dumping rock, dirt, sand, and wood in the back

Its fun to putt around in. 50MPH is the very top end. 45 is just fine and will get me around the side street here no problem. I drive it usually once a week if not more.
a few years ago it literally paid for half itself. Our main car got hit and spent a month at the body shop; hood, fender, door. They polished it for me, even though I asked them not too many times. Well luckily the didn't do much damage. I had a true pro do the work. He did a great job there all day and the price was very very reasonable. Thanks to this site I was able to ask all the "right" questions and see what he did. Step by step he followed everything here. Anyway sorry for the side story: But I drove it as my daily driver and bypassed the rental car from the insurance. They gave me the cash either way
Thanks again fella's. I figured this would be the right place to ask. I will be funny to see me driving this in the rain and having water beading up on it:xyxthumbs:
