Come on, Tommy! No small block Chevy pics?? Lol

Cool project. I know you'll nail it. :)

What's the story with the Purple Plymouth on the lift??

70 Hemi Roadrunner! Biggg $$$$.

Came in for some steering work and we just found out the other day frame is busted!!!

Gonna have to drop everything out from bottom and replace the front frames.

Holy Lord!! Weren't there only 3 HEMI convertibles made in '70?

Black...Torque Thrusts....blackwalla....stanced, someone gets it!

Now based on the overall look of the car I'm thinking some finned, aluminum valve covers...Twin snorkel Corvette air cleaner Headers

I agree!

I love this car. And it was built very well!
The stance, color, shape/lines, tires/rims, drive train----all put together well!

I'm gonna have a great time with this one!

Tom

Yep! Cool car. Don't you love working on stuff like this?

Studeys with that body style are just awesome. It would be a pleasure to work on that one.

Looking forward to the after pictures.

I was never a fan of this era Studebaker cars. I like the Studebaker coupes from the late 1930s and early 1940s and also the same years for the Studebaker TRUCKS.

What's the plan for the paint Tom?

:)

Update: just completed the correction today.

Got twisted around and fell down the rabbit hole re getting my paint correction plan dialed in!!!

This paint is a strange one and still don’t know what it is! Suspect it is the old acrylic clear coat that was full of embedded dirt.

The touch, water behavior on surface and the clay bar process indicates a weird paint scheme.

Ok enough jabbering-On to pictures.

Awesome work....awesome car!!

I was right except for the air cleaner. Would love to see inbetween the finned valve covers squirted in Chevy orange and leave the tops of the fins polished

Wow. That old boy was a pad killer, Tommy.

It looks great now though!

Ok, now on to that Plum Crazy paint on the HEMI!!! ;)

After trying sooo many different comb of polishes and pads....

At the end of the day---

1. The beast and Orange Force Hybrid pads.
2. Rupes Yellow polish--fine polish.
3. Pinnacle black label diamond surface coating.

Tom

beautiful work....not the most common car you'll see...is that a Commander?

Have no idea!

Just a hot rod with a vett engine/4 speed and no badges on the car! Sano....

Tom

When I had to move the car around---took me a while to get it started!

It had the floor starter....! Haven't seen that since I was little!
