have you change your "business" name from Axiom Auto Group's detailing service to Dripping wet detailing ? your ads are confusing
and by the way.. how come you are in business since 2005 and no website , no pictures ? just few lost ads here and there.

after seeing your prices , i am not surprise that the "low end clients" ( your words) choose you.

LOL where do you think you got this info from??! I've never been called Axioms anything? The only thing I advertise is Free Estimates! And starting prices! The only web presence I have and need is facebook, don't need a website. Also I have a ton of pictures that I carry around with me to show my future customers while I'm providing them an estimate.The Steam Cleaning Company is doing great thanks for asking, just added our newest van/machine to the line last week! And none of my ads are confusing here's a link to one just so you can see for yourself..

May I offer some advice? Try spelling words correctly and if you're going to use pictures from other websites, at least have enough sense to crop out the web address. If I ran across this ad there's not way you would get my business.

Well I get at least 3 calls a day just from this one boat detailing ad, so I'm gonna stick with it...

How many of those calls actually lead to work? The number of calls you receive a day don't mean anything at all if no work is attached. When I look at ads like that I immediately think scam and I'm sure I'm not the only person thinking this. Obviously you don't care about the image you portray of your business.
 
Dripping Wet, that ad needs an overhaul. Spelling errors, punctuation errors and I believe you may be open to a lawsuit if you continue to use somebody's picture without their consent or knowledge.
 
One out of 3. And I don't need any advice for my business, I'm doing wonderful. Also I can't be sued for using that picture lmao, ya'll guys must have no life man...

*Update Dec 2012 : (around 2years and 8 months since i start)
from the numbers i have so far , if i compare this year with the last year 2011 , i have an 60% increase income. that tells me that what i do works , and the system i use is productive. plus the business didn`t rich it`s limits , so is still growing.
i did have a lot of investment this year ( van , equipment , and i end the year with an assistant).
goals: to add PDR service for mid or end of 2013, after intensive training and practice. also another goal is to have the assistant able to run the regular clients with same results as i have, and with proper training seem like is getting there. that way i will be more flexible to remove dents

this month i had my record week $4000, so it is possible to make 6figures a year with this business. not yet .... soon.

Cosmin you are a major motivation to me, and hopefully to a lot of other detailers out there also. The way you have pushed, pushed, and pushed your business and have never slowed down should be a lesson to all of us. I really like your "business first" approach as well, it seems to be paying off big for you.
 
Great work Cosmin. My wife and I, we took a chance too about a year ago and so far so good. Reading your story really motivates us to push ourselves even more. Thanks for sharing with us. Now I don't mean no disrespect to no one here, lets keep this thread fresh. No need to talk bad about some one's work. We only get better and better everyday, I am always learning and every car I push myself further and further. We all have our pros and cons, we all do! Period. Now once again, lets keep this very inspiring thread fresh trouble free. There are cars to be detailed for everyone! Lol. Lots of cars, you lose one, you gain 5 more! That's how I see it! ;)

**Off-topic question**
I saw on our web site, you have a 20'x10' canopy? It's seem like that. If it's really a 20'x10', do you install the canopy by yourself? Is it easy..?
 
Once you get the hang of it yes! I only offer these for the highest service we offer. Then again I only did 3 times because most of the times people have a garage or shop that the car is in. Still we offer that just in case. Better be prepared than not you know.
 
Very inspirational thread! Cosmin would it be impolite to ask what products you use exactly? Something like:

Interior
- Carpet
- Panel general cleaning
- Panel proctection
- Windows
- Air Freshener
- Etc.

Exterior
- Car Wash (shampoo)
- All In One Cleaner/Wax (or do you not do this and go to mult step only?)
- Buffing Compound
- Polish
- Wax/Sealant
- Wheel Cleaner
- Wheel Wax/Polish
- Exhaust Tips Wax/Polish
- Windows
- Etc.

Tools:
- Microfiber towels
- Pads
- Etc.

I know this a lot to ask and respond to and I don't expect you to, but I figured it can't hurt to ask how you do it as you're obviously successful with it so instead of trying to re-invent the wheel it would be nice to see another successful persons well used plan. Once again sorry if I'm crossing a boundary by asking all of this.

the canopy is an 10x20 , some of the poles are reinforce in structure with an x inside. it takes around 5 min to have all set by myself. you open each pole like an umbrella so you mat have to go around it like 3 times, open the legs a bit each time.

i try to keep things simple as products , now my products may not work in your area , where you may have more mud , or you may deal with more moms suv or after winter trucks .. just an example.
my advice is use what you feel comfortable with , gives results and is price affordable , the brand doesn`t matter.
i like products that you can use for multiple tasks , as i am mobile and limited with space.
