I just finished the detail on the 57 Chevy Bel Air - single stage paint job, decent but 8-10 years old and no pop. First tried washing and zaino - no great shine. Then I tried waxing a panel - still nothing great. So I stripped, went back to PB and the PC7424, 2.5 and 1, followed by Menzerna glaze, Zaino, and Pinnacle Souveran to finish. SOrry, no before pics - it wasn't that bad, but lots and lots of swirls which made it too dull. Polishing the chrome was, as you can see a significant effort.

The car is now up on Ebay (no. 120118365392) - we'll see what happens. Lots more pics and a video there.

eBay Motors: Chevrolet : Bel Air/150/210 (item 120118365392 end time May-19-07 19:06:13 PDT)

Here are the pics of the paint after the Menzerna stage - no seal or wax yet:

Very nice, I love the '57 Chevy. 4 doors seem to be gaining some ground on the 2 doors. Great job!!!

Looks really good, I like how Menzerna gives the paint that extra POP!!! The colos on the vehicle looks really good....good depth and it's wet!!

Question, how did you clean the chrome peases? What did you use? PC and Poorboys?
