6.5 orange pad workin like junk... but 5.5 works great?

i cant get a 6.5 to work well on my griots..

just every issue i can think of .. one came with a kit i got, and the other couple pads are fine, but the orange with 105 just doesnt cut, chalks up super fast, just plain doesnt seem to do much of anything right

5.5 works great .. same pad., CCS ..

yes prepping pad, yes working small areas, 5000-5500rpm

granted i dont have to use the 6.5 ever.. but it frustrates me to have something that came with the griots that i cant get to work..

ideas?

I switch from the 6.5 to 5.5 quick. 6.5 just feels to bulky. Smaller pad + less thick seems to be better.

Smaller pads = less surface area = more pressure (for the same amount of applied force) = better correction abilities.

I don't use anything larger than 5.5" pads.
