I need 6inch pads for my festool, festool makes some but they only make a fine and a coarse, the fine pad is nice but the coarse....well its coarse. 6.5inch pads viberate too much so i need 6inch pads, i was thinking of cutting off .5 inches from the CCS pad but thats kinda easy to mess up and its hard to do. I have searched a lot but no results. So does anyone know of any 6inch pads?

yes..as Jon said...Edge makes classics in 6 inch...and a good pad at that...I still have some that are over 4 years old and I still use them with certain polishes...you may have to contact AG to see if they can get them as I never see them offered on any supply sites...just the 2K pads...I never had a problem with the classics...very good pad

AG sells 5.5", danase sells CCS 5", edge makes 6", sonus makes 6", megs makes 6"

What backing plate are you using? Polishing or sanding? I use the sanding BP and use 7 1/2" curved pads and have no problem with vibration.

Your using 7.5" pads on a PC/DA?
If you are no wonder your not getting any vibration, i bet the pads arent even moving lol

No, I'm using 7.5" pads on a DA/Forced Rotation tool. You're probably right, the pads might not be moving and I'm not getting perfect results from my Festool. I should throw it away and get a PC. BTW, have you ever used a Festool?

Who said anything about throwing away your festool and getting a PC?

What do you mean no? Festool is DA.

Yes, i own one, 7.5" pads are still to big, you can get good results with 7.5" pads but its gonna take awhile.

What doesn't work for you doesn't mean it won't work for others. And yes, Festool is a DA, but no one said I used the 7.5" pads on orbital mode.

I believe sonus makes 6.5inch pads , thats what I read. I cant find anyone who sells 6inch pads, no one seems to carry the classic edge pads.

Call AG and ask can they be special ordered for you, just like they do for Edge wool pads.

The Edge Classic buffing pads at 6-7.5 inch look like a great pad. Wonder why someone doesn't sell them?

Thats a great idea.
It is just a simple straightforward thinking as we all know that AG is very customer oriented, plus it is my experience that one short phone call can sometimes accomplish what thousand forum posts can not.

We all sometimes assume things, and also often don't put 2+2 together even after we have seen info that should have make us do 2+2. That's why we should never assume and we should ask. He who asks gets it, he who doesn't ask doesn't get it.

did someone mention Festool we use the slow start variable speed rotary and the new rotex geardriven orbital sensational buff mark free finishing machine,Still need wool pads over foam to take out deep swirls but finish with euro white foam pad.Have autogeek got a soft pink or white euro finishing pad in there range??Have auto geek got the new reversible wool on one side white waffle pad on the other yet??new technology I love
