did someone mention Festool we use the slow start variable speed rotary and the new rotex geardriven orbital sensational buff mark free finishing machine,Still need wool pads over foam to take out deep swirls but finish with euro white foam pad.Have autogeek got a soft pink or white euro finishing pad in there range??Have auto geek got the new reversible wool on one side white waffle pad on the other yet??new technology I love

Sorry Zoran I thought someone mentioned Festool as I'm new here and didn't want to SPAM and mention other products that autogeek does not supply. We have been using a festool rotary for the past twelve months and are so impressed with the slow start feature and also the variable speed application with the trigger as well.Since we polish at 800 to 1100 rpm with 100% wool pads and finish at higher speeds with euro white or a pink pad I was hoping to buy some of your pads at autogeek and do some R&D.We currently use a polish from the states which covers all our paint rectification needs.Meaning One polish, two pads and mirror finish,we also finish with a festool rotex 180 orbital machine to eliminate the buffmarks.Hope this explains our process as our paints are much harder than yours and our electricity supply is higher in amps and wattage our machines are able to have more grunt.cheers pete

When detailers, enthusiasts, etc in States mention Festool they refer to RO 150 FEQ model, not the rotary. Part of misunderstanding was due to that.

Not being familiar to the Festool RO 150 FEQ, I did a little Google search, and I learned that this model is also a dual mode that you can easily change from Orbital, to Rotary. The range speed in orbital mode is 3300 - 6800 orbits per minute and 320 - 660 rpm for rotary speed...

I wonder how effective it is at 660rpm?

I need 6inch pads for my festool, festool makes some but they only make a fine and a coarse, the fine pad is nice but the coarse....well its coarse. 6.5inch pads viberate too much so i need 6inch pads, i was thinking of cutting off .5 inches from the CCS pad but thats kinda easy to mess up and its hard to do. I have searched a lot but no results. So does anyone know of any 6inch pads?
How big is your backing plate, 5"?
You could use the LC's 5.5" pads. They work great on my PC when I need a little more umph! on hard clearcoat
