•Weren't there two different positraction units during the '57-'64 years...each having a different number of clutches---like 8 or 10 or something.What center chunks are interchangeable on the 8.2 Chevy rear end.
Warning...it`s a little bit of a trick question.
Now you got me.From my understanding they were all the same from 57-64 on full size and 57-62 on Corvettes all inter-changeable.Some have said that some axles needed to be cut 1/8 in. on full size and others not.In 63 Corvette went to the independent suspension without the live axle.•Weren't there two different positraction units during the '57-'64 years...each having a different number of clutches---like 8 or 10 or something.
You can put a:
"smaller-#-of-clutches posi" into a "larger-#-of-clutches" diff. housing...
But: Can't go the other way?
•Left-hand/right-hand bolts?
