I'm sure this has been asked a million times but if you folks could, one more time please.

I'm finally buying the pc and I'm looking for some guidance on what I need to purchase. I want my vehicles to look the way they did when I brought them home or better. These vehicles wont be in any car shows or anything but I like them to look like they could be. Ones black and ones white. I will be cleaning the paint approximately 2-3 times a year. Any feed back would be most appreciated.

You want to pick some quality polish and pads to start out with. I love Menzerna SIP and 106FF, they work fine with the PC, but better with a rotary. Poorboys SSR's are also pretty good, so Id pick between those two. As for pads, Id go with Lake Country CCS pads, blue, white, and orange for sure. Red if you like to apply waxes or sealants with the machine, I like to use an applicator.

Heres a basic run down...
Polish
Pads
Microfiber- Get PakShak ultra plush, best microfiber out there.
Wax and or Sealant
Tire shine
Wheel cleaner- only needed for wheels you dont keep up
Wheel protectant (use a paint sealant)- then wash with regular car soap
Window cleaner
Ext. plastic dressing
Applicators
Clay bar
Interior cleaner/ protectant
Leather cleaner/ protectant

O.K cool!!!

So the blue, white, and orange pads are what, your basic pads for start to finish? What about the bonnets I saw. Would you recommend these?

Also, about the pc. That comes with a 5" backing plate, right? What all will that accommodate or do you need different sizes?

Appreciate your help:cheers:

Bonnets are used to remove lsp. I perfer to use mf towels. As for your 5" bp, you can use 5.5" or 6" pads. I like the 5.5" low profile pads.

:iagree: like D&D said. I also start with Menz & Poorboy stuffs and also CCS pads, white, orange, gray, yellow and red. I used them with UDM so they working pretty goods. especially Menz they give very nice finishing.

for the protectant, i like collinite 485 and 3M perfect car show they are very good look wet, deep shine and long duration especially on black colour.

if you like to add 4' pad they will make you polishing very easy on small area also. :buffing:

4" pads are definitely good to have for tight areas. 5" BP will work well with 5.5" pads. I have yet to see a difference between the LC low profile pads and the LC CCS pads. So you might want to go with the low profile pads instead. Ive never used a bonnet to remove LSP, probably never will.

The Menzerna kit with PC is the one I offered most on other forum. Its a great package and priced right. You'll wish you had one sooner.
