I may order a 7424 tomorrow, I am still trying to decide if it is worth the $$ for detailing my personal cars. This is becoming an expensive hobby. Are there any items that are a must to order with the PC(not including pads)? Also what is a good choice for removing very fine swirls? I want to start out the finest cut product I can use. I can move up to the heavy ones as I feel more comfortable.

Other than pads, you will need a backing plate, microfiber towels if you don't already have them, and of course polishes. I would say that it is worthwhile for personal use if you intend to do any polishing. If you are just going to use sealants and AIO's, than don't get it. I'll let others chime in on what medium-cut and finishing polishes to get.

Definately worth the price of admission! I maintain my personal cars and some of my families... It's the difference in making it look "new" and watching it age gracefully

I would onsider the Flex instead of the PC. jmo
