7424XP included pad uses?

So, is the included pad good for anything other than taking up space? I assume it's a polishing pad with some sort of cut but there's not documentation included that I could find.

I thought maybe someone came up with something novel like using it to polish shower doors or something.
 
Use it to buff inside of truck lid or underside of hood. I use a spot buff pad mounted to drill.
 
Just received my PC DA last week and I hate to see a resource go unused. I've gotta believe that this included white pad is equivalent to one of the LC pads and has a similiar use/utility therein.

If I had a tester panel from a junk yard or something I'd be happy to try it out and see if it's usable for either compound, polish or LSP implementation/application but I don't have a panel or the time to do so, and am not fortunate enough to work for an employer that would be willing to pay me to do so during my work day.

Hmmmm, I wonder if there's anyone out there who can conduct a test like this (in the interest of product knowledge/promotion of course) while on the clock.....

The pad with the 7424XP is probably the same pad that was included with the 7424, but I don't know that for sure.
I used mine as a polishing pad for various swirl removal jobs for a long time.
Other than the inconvenience of screwing it on and off, I didn't see anything wrong with it.

I've used them before, the foam is similar to your basic foam polishing polishing pad, for example the like a Meguiar's W-8006 or a Lake Country's Polishing Pads or Griot's Garage Polishing Pads.

That's actually what I've decided to do with it. Anything non car.

I'm even thinking of getting some wood working attachments to refinish the tops of some bedroom furniture that the kids got water damage and glass rings on. Such a useful tool. :props:
