Gonna buy one of these today but wanted to know from experienced users if the 25 ft 16 gauge power cord is worth the extra $30 to upgrade to the HD model.

Any suggestions and/or comments are appreciated.

I asked the same question a while ago and the majority answered no. I bought the standard and use my own HD extension cords. I not noticed any drop in power versus plugging the XP directly in an outlet.
 
Hey Troy,

I understand the basic principal behind the longer cord but at $30.00 in my opinion it's not worth it. If you find that you might want to try this option buy a longer cord and replace it yourself for about $12.00
 
Thanks guys, that's what I normally do anyway and I thought it was more of a marketing kinda thing to try and boost sales. Its been out a while so it was probably time for a "Special Edition" type of thing.

I would say no. I keep my PCXP in a hard tool box and it would not fit with that long cord. Just buy an extension cord.
 
no, just dont go and buy one of those cheap indoor extension cords you use to light up your christmas lights haha
