8 hour Saturday class condensed into about 20 minutes

Just had a black Corvette leave, local guy that I met in a parking lot, here's his car...

Looks good from this angle...

Needs a little help from this angle...

I gave him my 8 hour Saturday class condensed into about 20 minutes and showed him how easy it is to remove the swirls using only a Porter Cable 7424XP with Pinnacle Products and he's ready to tackle the job himself.

I took before and after pictures that I'll post tomorrow...

Man, that never happens to me...one of the worlds top paint polishers strikes up a conversation in a parking lot with me. Just like those HGTV people never stalk my Home Depot offering free makeovers for my yard. You rock Mike!

Funny thing about this is that the guy from Bathroom Crashes.. Matt something I wanna say.. on DYI is in Minneapolis all the time. I think he was born and raised here.. Maybe I should start stalking Home Depot or Lowes in hopes of running into him. Haha

That bonnet is jacked up

Seriously! Worst part is that some poor guy probably thought he was doing a good job "polishing"... Well at least I hope the person behind the rotary didn't know the damage he was causing! Knowingly putting such bad holograms into the paint would be downright despicable.

Looking forward to the pics Mike!

Once you become familiar with pad and product combinations it's amazing how quick you can make a finish look great.

Don't forget to post some of the finished product. What also would be great is a little insight as to what pad and product combinations you'd use on a Corvette's finish. :props:

Thanks Mike!

The current owner got a good deal on the Vette and then hired a person that called themselves a detailer to detail it. He thought it would need to be painted but now he's going to tackle it himself.

I'll be offline this morning but when I return I'll try to post the before and after pictures of the Test Spot we did in the Studio last night.

:)

Been a very busy day... check out my Facebook Page... but now that I'm back into the office and playing catch-up, here's a few pictures from the Test Spot I did with Dan, the owner yesterday.

This Test Spot was done fairly quickly as I had another couple of projects to push through before leaving for the night... usually I try to really nail the before and after pictures but this will give you an idea of what we were able to do using just a DA Polisher and Pinnacle Polishes.

Dan said he would bring his Corvette by after he gets it all polished out...

:)

Woah! I didn't realize how bad it really was. Looks like the rotary holograms have been there for awhile and some poor washing technique's have been going on ever since the sub-par polish job. Don is a lucky guy to have happened upon you in a parking lot!

I look forward to seeing his results! I'm sure he'll be glowing with satisfaction, so bright you could use him to get the sun shots LOL.
