Today marks the 12th anniversary of the worst day in our nations history. Today remember all those that lost their lives in those tragic terror attacks. Remember all the men and woman in uniform that went running in as everyone else was running out.

We are a country united as one and in the darkest of times we come together and come out stronger than before.

I'm proud to be an American!

9-11 forever changed our world. I agree remember all our service men and women, firefighters, ems, and law enforcement. There jobs are never done. Also PROUD to be an AMERICAN!

Well said.

Many of our lives changed forever that day and we cannot forget what happened that day nor the lessons we learned from it.

I know I'll give a silent  to the memory of friends and comrads who never came home.

Remember those lost. Respect and RIP.

this morning I paused at about 8:30 am to pay my respects to everyone who has been affected by this. We will never forget.

I did not realize what today was.....seems like the days just run together.

Had to sit down for moment and reflect.

Thank you Evan. Very well said.

I will never forget the Day!

I will never forget the innocent people killed in the Towers and the planes!

I will never forget the brave Fire and police Officers who died to try and save lives!

I will never forget to Pray for the families of the victims!

I WILL NEVER FORGET !!

I lost my best friend that day. I stood 4 blocks away outside our apartment building watching it all happen. Worst day ever. Due to all the dust and stuff that came up our apartment was unlivable for 5 months.

He was in the second tower!
His name was Ryan and he was the best dude ever. Miss ya Ry!

Evan,
Thanks for starting the post, for many of us as stated that day will never be forgotten. I always remember the phone call from my wife who was out of town at the time called me telling me that I need to go and check this out. The plant I was working in almost shut down due to everyone wanting to find out what the heck happened.
I was also in the Military at the time and we were all called and put on 6 hour notices, our jets were scrambed and were on track to intercept the flight in PA. At the time of the crash they were 2-3 minutes out.
Also my Aunt working on the 53rd floor of tower 1, my heart sank as the tower collapsed. Called my mom only to find out she was on vacation in the Bahamas, she was the lucky one, but lost most of her co-works.
Brings tears to my eyes, just thinking about all those lives lost.....

+1 on thx for starting this thread.

I was sitting in my car on the way to work this morning and it came on the radio that it was the exact moment the first plane hit the tower.
I got chills. I will never forget that day.

Thank you for the thread, so we can all remember how our lives and our nation changed forever on that fateful day... I was in 7th grade at the time, and I will never remember seeing someone come in and whisper to our teacher, and then see her break down and start bawling. That moment is etched in my brain... I will never forget the men and women lost on that day, as well as those cowards that attacked us... We shall not rest until each of them meets "Allah" once and for all.

Let us remember, these are not the conditional enemy that we fought during the World Wars. We do not negotiate with these animals. That's why it makes me sick, that we are negotiating with the Taliban and Al-Qeida in Afghanistan because we want the forces to draw down in 2014. Think about that, America. I say we don't leave until the job is done, and those who enjoy watching those planes hit the buildings are six feet under...

Always remember... Never forget... Never again!

God bless America!

I was only in the United States for 1 year when the attack happened. Back then i was also in the 8th grade-Junior High.

12 years later, this is the best country to live in, and i'd never go back to Europe as this country gave me EVERYTHING.

Wow that's a touching story, keep your head up bud.

First time ever seeing fighter jets flying over Manhattan on that day.
As the city was being evacuated, I was walking to Queens over the 59th Street Bridge and I turned over to see where the Towers used to be and there were nothing more than smoke.... and all the lives lost....

As long as I may live, I may forget what I saw but I will never forget how I felt.
