91 Ford F150 oxidized single stage

Products used:

Meguiar's #7 applied by hand
3M Medium Cut Compound applied by Makita rotary with orange kompressor pad
DG501 applied with Griot's GG6 with blue LC pad
Malco Showroom Shine QD (Something I'm trying to use up on stuff that doesn't matter).

argh!! i had a friend that owned a 1990 F-250 in that color. tough as nails to get a shine out of it, but when it was glossy it looked awesome! i used to use blue ribbon haze away 1+2 on it, then finished it with Zymol. Those were the days! Keep at it! vehicles like these are a challenge and the comments you receive when you done are the one's that make it all worth it a little knowledge is a dangerous thing!!

I always love correcting oxidized SS paint because they usually look like a different car from when you started.

I have never polish a single stage paint car, do you think the GG 6" will have enough power for that?

This is my personal commuter truck, so yes, I was floored with the results.

A GG6 would be difficult to get these kind of results quickly...anything is possible if you have time. The rotary made the job easy. It is not a swirl free finish, but the shine and color and definitely back.

I'd like to do one more coat of DG501 and then stick some Collinite 845 on it to help prevent future oxidation. Thanks for the compliments! These 4 pics tell the story the best:
