Well the weather is finally nice up here in the great North and I am going to detail my sisters car. Well she has a white 95 Honda that has been neglected. I know show pictures, but unfortunately the car is 3 hours away. Just wondered if anybody knew something about the paint, SS, hard clear, soft clear, etc. I don't want to attack it and its super hard and I don't have the proper tools. ya know what I am saying. So any feedback will be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

I had a 93 White Accord and it was SS paint and soft. When I got it it paint was not in the best condition. This was before my AG/other forum information days. My guess woudl be kind of soft SS paint.

It is a tinted clear. Not too hard to make it shine, if you use the right products.

The paint is probaby pretty thin, so be careful. The paint on the roof, hood and trunk are prown to failure.

Thanks guys. I was thinking of hitting it with XMT #3 then #1. Do you think this will do it?

Sneek, what did you use? Is that a 95? Hers looks worse on the hood. My stepdad tried to polish it for her, but I don't know what he used. hood looks flat almost.

Honda didn't do tinted clear on the white cars. It's either SS and hard or BC with a "normal" hardness to it.

Tinted clear was on some of the red cars that Honda/Acura produced.

Should go like this:
Frost white = SS
Taffeta white = BC

Frost or Taffeta.....They had different colors of white?

The things you can find out. I think I found the two colors
Champion White (Clearcoat)
Frost

It is actually a 93, sedan.

I think they are the same from 92-95.
I guess it is not a tinted clear then, spoiledman has way more honda knowlage than me!

Championship white is an Integra Type R color and yes it is BC. Taffeta white does exist however.

Ok thanks anyways. I looked but couldn't find it. I guess if it is not frost or champion, it must be tafetta
