I just saw a post about interior treasures and how you preserve them for the client. Which is good, you are doing your job. But what are some of the things you have found that were totally out of the norm? Lets talk those odd things!
 
My apologies but this seems to be an "off topic" rather than talking detailing. Are the mods okay with this or is this the correct sub forum for this ??

Really don't think it matters... It's detailing related anyway.

I've found tampons out of their wrapper (no blood, but tons of opened amd some torn uo tampons from a dog getting to something I guess), a Power Ranger melted at the hip with a Barbie, and some drug related things (pipes, Zigzags, etc.)

80k in cash in the trunk of a e320 back in 99 was working at imported cars of Greenwich conn.

I've had my share of under the seat weapons and those always kinda startle me a bit. Not much as i'm used to them but if the owner fails to mention them in the walk around and i find them later i treat with the utmost care.
 
I was never a detailer my any means, well working on that now just for my own cars. About 20 years ago I worked in a "detail shop", pretty much a wash and wax with some interior jobs. On a minivan there were some bagged rocks scattered under the back seat, and I am not talking about the ones in your drive way or landscaping.
 
I've had bags of sea shells down here in Tampa but no rocks!
 
The 2 standouts are a suicide note and a prosthetic leg.
Have found a few guns, sex toys, a toupee (oddly, the car's owner had a full head of hair), various drugs,

The oddest request I've ever gotten was when I was asked if I could be trusted not to open the trunk of one particular car. To this day, I'm proud of myself for honoring the customer's request but still wish I had. :laughing: I have a feeling whatever was in there would have been my answer to this thread!

Crazy, well at least you lived to tell about it and didn't end up in there yourself.

"Power Ranger melted at the hip with a Barbie." That made me lol, awesome.

Nothing too exciting for me yet. Just a wadded up $100 in the console that they got back.
 
I found a few hundred dollars in loose change once.

It was in my old 1990 Bonneville SSE under the back seat. I took it apart before scrapping it and happy I did. Learned and earned a lot.

Canada has $1 & $2 coins that's how you get to $100's in change...
 
The craziest thing I found under a seat was a 10x15 inch huge shard of glass under the driver seat.

I was vacuuming under the seat without looking and I hit something sharp, I said what the hell.

I looked and I seen this huge lodged stuck piece of glass.

It was stuck, I got it out and was laughing cause I could of seriously cut my self.

I showed the owners and they said they have no idea how it got there , I just said OK lol
