Scary, eh? I am open to suggestions.

Once it is washed and dried you'll know much better what you're dealing with. It looks like you'll need to start with a clay if it hasn't been detailed before and a medium cut polish with the orange pad. I'd start there.

Here is today's progress on one door panel:

after
claying,
Pinnacle Paintwork Cleaning Lotion
PB SSR3
PB SSR1
VM glaze
Pinnacle Signature Series 2
here is the new and improved door, hours later:

:applause: It looks much much better! You don't need any suggestions. You got it girl!

I think its crazy how long rookies like you and I spend on a car (my truck took about 15 hrs) and than justin whips one out in like 2.5 hrs.

But thats a great improvement...

think there is hope?
thank you, jen. i must be learning something because that is what I did. in the photos, you can see the door progress -
dirty,
washed and clayed,
then all done.

Yeah that's a big difference. It may not be showroom new since it has been neglected and it is 9 years old, but I am confident that you will turn it around to where it will be as close to new as possible. :)

hahahahahahaha That thing was a MESS!!! AUdakota talks about 15 hour details, but I think I might take the forum record for longest detail with my 6 days on that damn beetle! lol

I want to do a full detail on my own car, but I doubt I will be able to find the time until summer break comes. I know it will take me a couple of days to get it up to snuff, (I work slow too), but when I find the time and get her done, I'll be sure to post plenty of pics. :)

Yeah, that minivan has alot of panels to cover. I think taking it a panel at a time is a wise way to go. You can pace yourself and if the weather should become inclimate, then you know you have it protected until you can work on it again.

How was the buying experience on EBAY? Did you have to pick it up, or did they drive/ship it to you?

you can do ittttttt:righton:..looks awesome so far

my husband bought it below blue book with 60 k on it. he hired a mechanic to look it over and all was well. we paid to ship. came from georgia. we have put over 100k miles on it!
sold my supra on ebay too. buyer picks up or pays for shipping.

thank you everyone. it's the little ebay mobile. aka nappy green van - lol
wait until you see the inside!

Cool! :) I'm glad it worked out for you. :)

Way to go Lauren. I'm impressed. That van is going to look goooood.

Your getting good Lauren, it looked pretty bad. Nice turn around. Signiture Series should look very nice on that color. I could just see my wife out trying to detail our van (not likely)!
