A Chicagoland get together?

Ideally I'd like to get 20 people committed to this, with a date nailed down as soon as possible.

For those who have put their names on the list, what days would work for you?

Well I suggested a Sunday and not knowing how things work around here, I thought I'd make this thread in the hopes we'd have a date set up towards the end of summer when its a bit cooler out but then again, we might get lucky and have a lower humidity day. I'm only suggesting later in the summer, it doesn't have to be then but I've found that from trying to set up car meets in the past, its best to start these things early, this way you get the people committed, the time and day figured out and what the actual plans are. Keep the suggestions and comments coming guys/gals.
 
Connor, can I assume the place to host this is your location? If so, any pics you'd like to share with the group and would it infact be in Madison? I for one do not care about making the trip up north for this, I'm an early riser and would probably be the first one there for sure, maybe even a caravan up north if infact this is where it would be.

I actually work on Saturday's till 3:30 in Palatine which is up north, so I'm close to Wisconsin from there but the meet would probably be in full swing and I'd miss alot. I picked Sunday because most people are off on that day, usually anyways.
 
Nope, I dont have a shop. I sent out a feeler to Ivan at LUSTR, he is in the Chicago area.
 
I would probably be up for a meet in Madison but guessing not in Chicago. Once a date and location is set I'll know more. :xyxthumbs:
 
Any Saturday or Sunday works for me. I have only date the I am not free is on July 28th. Don't let that stop anything, though.

Ivan (LustR) is a sponsor of a local car club I am apart of, ChicagoZ. I can see if we can get some interest over there, I'm pretty sure he just recently got a larger shop.
 
That would be much appreciated! This isn't a free clinic or detailing school though, just a bunch of like minded car/detailing enthusiasts getting together to share tips and learn a thing or two from each other.

Thursday and Friday are best for me. But I can make a Saturday or Sunday.

Aww man this is getting harder to say no to. I love Z's too! As long as the date is picked out with enough time in advance I would like to think I could free up a weekend for it. :buffing:
 
July 14 and 15 Im tied up , but any other weekend is ok. Augest would be a good month before kids go back to school.

My schedule on the weekend is pretty much open July and August. Hopefully the GF hasn't made plans that far in advance.

The Chicagoland Z club is a passionate group, I've seen their cars several times over the past year or so, good guys for sure! Once we get the amount up to where Connor likes it we can figure out the actual date, thanks for showing interest in this guys, let's show everyone what the Chicagoland area can infact do when we work together:xyxthumbs:
 
I'd love to learn some tips/tricks from other detailing enthusiasts. Saturday's usually work the best for me, but really with enough advanced warning anything is possible.
