The search for the perfect microfiber towel is over! We're very excited to introduce the new Chinchilla Microfiber Buffing Cloth to Autogeek's vast line of microfiber towels and tools. Named after one of nature's furriest animals, the Chinchilla Microfiber Buffing Cloth features a deep pile surrounded by a luxurious red cloth border. You can use the Chinchilla Microfiber Buffing Cloth for practically all your detailing needs including quick detail sprays, spray waxes, waterless washes and interior dusting just to name a few.

The Chinchilla Microfiber Buffing Cloth is 16" x 16" and is made of dense 600 g/m² microfiber that pampers your vehicle's delicate finish.

Both sides of the Chinchilla Microfiber Buffing Cloth are plush.

To put the new Chinchilla Microfiber Buffing Cloth to the test I grabbed one of my favorite spray waxes, Pinnacle Souveran Liquid Spray Wax and headed outside.

Pinnacle Souveran Liquid Spray Wax is one of my favorite spray waxes because it's easy to use and thanks to its high blend of carnauba wax and crystalline polymers, it can even be used as a stand alone LSP. It's compatible with any wax or sealant and wipes on and off without a fuss.

Tip: Before using any spray wax, prime your microfiber towel with a couple sprays of the product. This ensures that you're simply not wiping the wax off when you swipe the towel across the paint, but rather you're working the wax into the paint. Two or three sprays is all that's needed when starting out with a fresh towel.

Pinnacle Souveran Liquid Spray Wax is highly concentrated and a little bit goes a long way. For most vehicles two sprays is all that's required per panel. If you're working on a hood or trunk lid, I've found that four or five sprays is more than adequate.

Tip: Work out of direct sunlight and ensure the surface is clean and cool to the touch.

With the Chinchilla Microfiber Buffing Cloth folded four ways, spread the wax across the surface using very little pressure. If any streaking occurs, you're using too much product.

Once you're finished with each section flip the towel over to a dry side and lightly buff!

Overall I was really impressed with the new Chinchilla Microfiber Buffing Cloth and its performance, plushness and durability. The towel does not lint at all and when washed with a high quality microfiber detergent, rest assured you won't be going through them often, unless of course your friends or family snag them. Trust me when I say that you will find an excuse to say the towel's name out every chance you get.

"....Hey pops, have you seen my Chinchilla?!"

These look really nice. Thanks for sharing. PM sent;)

Dear Nick

Which microfiber cloth do you think is the absolute best for use with Detailer's Pro Waterless Wash?

HINT !! HINT !! Nick this should would be a good BOGO offer. Can you arrange something with Megan ??

No Chinchilla's where harmed in the making of this towel! :p

Looks like a great towel.

I've had this same exact towel for a little while(not from AG), and they are SOFTTTTTTT and VERY plush!!!!! Best MF towel I've ever used for quick detailing and spray waxes!!!

I am not a fan of plush mf towels. they tend to bunch up when buffing paint even when using a quick detailer they bunch up. they have been aweful at removing wax and polish. i always have to fold them into smaller and use more pressure. also they don't pack well, they take up so much space.

looking at the photos they don't look like they slide along the paint very easily.

while they do have a few uses, i would have to agree. they are more likely to shed/lint as well...

What is the border made of? In this article you call it cloth. Do you know what the fibers of the border are?

It's the same material as the cobra 530's. I used this towel again today, and the pile might actually be a bit too thick for quick detailing. It's probably best for a final buff.

Thanks Mark!! :props:
No prob, C. I think initially I was really taken back(in a good way) because the towel is sooooo very soft and plush, but, as mentioned above, the pile is too thick for QD. I wouldn't even try it with polish or wax, but AWESOME for a final buff.

Dear Mark

Do you think the Cobra 600-weight towels are too thick for waterless washing?

I bought a three-pack today, but I also bought some of those Mango microfiber towels that are thinner. I have no idea what's best, as I'm a rank newbie.

Hi Jaddie,

I've tried the Cobra 600's a long tim ago, and I don't remember the pile being nearly as long as the chinchillas. You should be just fine!! :dblthumb2:

I'm going to give one of these a shot on my next order. Not sure what I will use it for yet, but if all else fails I can always sleep on it!

I hope they are not a linting nightmare like the old shamrocks.

Dear Mark

Thanks for replying.

I look forward to trying both the Cobras and the Mangos.

I hope they are not a linting nightmare like the old shamrocks.

I was thinking to myself: "Self, if these were dyed green, wouldn't they be called Shamrocks?"

However, I still have plenty of Shamrocks on hand, and love them. I have never experienced the insane lintage so many speak of. I have had a few that were a little linty, but I have about 8 or 10 that I use regularly without a problem.
