Imagine everything you would not want to find embedded in a vehicles carpets. This 2006 Ford Freestar had it all. Beach sand, short dog hair, candy, coffee/pop stains. There was a total of 4 hours spent on the carpets alone. I know the plastics are still dirty, but that is because they haven't been cleaned yet. Anyways, onto the pictures.
And yes, I do realize there are a few small spots left. But the objective was to clean as much as I could, without dyeing the carpets.

Compared to what you started with I think it looks great and I'm sure that's more than what your client expected.
Awesome job!
How bad are the seats?!?

The seats are just as bad as the carpets. Cloth, but luckily it is a soft cloth. The kind that usually clean up well. THey will still need to be extracted several times due to beverage and chocolate stains. I will try to remember to post before and afters.

Ouch, Dave.
That one is truly a mess. I hope you quoted it to still make at least a little money. (and definitely put a couple of these before-afters on your website!)

These are my least favorite types of jobs to do... Excellent work! I don't understand how people can let their vehicles fall into this type of disrepair. Those were some NASTY carpets!

Haha... Unfortunately at this time I don't have a website. I am in the process of one though. It definitely was not fun. Just under 2 hours of vacuuming. And several emptying/refills of the extracter. And it is the large capacity mytee. But don't worry I didn't leave all that water in the carpets. They were gone over twice to pull water outwith the extracter, and the again with the craftsman wet/dry vac. They were just barely damp by the time I was done. I actually have to give good reviews to auto magic carpet cleaner and enzyme pre-spot. These were the chemicals used. I recommend them. And they are low sudsing.

Agreed!
Hopefully now they'll learn to keep it looking that nice.
Up sell some scotch guard app?

Unfortunately there was no upsell on this vehicle. I would have done it regardless if there wasn't so much time spent on it. And the worry of time invested/profit made weren't there.

Magnificent transformation.
I am always amazed at how some folks are just "pigs" with their cars, never ceases to amaze ......

Haha absolutely agree. I was talking to my brother/co-worker, actually I was ranting and raving. I just don't see how someone can feel good about themselves getting in a vehicle taken care of like this. And what about when you have friends/family ride along? Thanks all for the kind words.

I was thinking the same thing. Amazing to me how the person that lets a car get in this bad a shape, even thinks about having it detailed. Maybe they are planning to sell or something. Just unbelievable how people mistreat their cars. Awesome transformation though.

Wow! Dirtiest ever award and best carpet transformation award :dblthumb2:. You need to put "Trusted for the tough jobs" on your business cards.

I use a LOT of Automagic stuff. You can not beat the effectiveness of the Special Cleaner. It has a duilliton of 1:20 and even that is super strong and sometimes too much. I buy it by the 5 gal. I primarily use that for everything including carpet cleaning. It works wonders on stains and gen cleaning. I wasn't really impressed with the carpet cleaner it self, I found SC to work better and be way more cost effective. Another product that I would rec is the Odor Elminator. It smells great and does a great job of getting rid of the odors. I spray it on after I extract. Also you can use the SC as a stain treatment just don't cut it down to 1:20 go for 1:5.

Great turn around Dave. I hate interiors that get like that but you gotta love the outcome. Nothing like a HUGE turnaround like that. The only thing that I would rec is getting a steamer. It will totally cut down on your interior time especially on things like this. I did a soccer mom van on Saturday and it was about the same as yours. I had the whole interior vac, extrac, steam, clean, dressed in less than 2 1/2 hrs. Steam saved my butt. I was able to do all the plastic then hit up the carpets at the same time and have my extractor follow right after I broke everything lose with the steam. Works wonders.

Great Job mate!:props:

I have never used the SC on carpets. But it is a regular when it comes to cleaning the plastics before dressing, and any other general cleaning. I also purchase by the 5 gal. And when you say steamer, could you link me to one. I am not 100% what you are referring to. Thanks again everyone for the kind words.

That was a great result.

I just hate having a "family vehicle" to look forward to.

One friend asked me to help her clean a minivan before returning it after a lease was up.
I told he she had to do the major removal of "stuff" from inside by herself.
It was revolting!
Beyond dirty.
That rolling cesspool should have had a biohazard placard on it.

Good turnaround. I see things worse than that on a regular basis. I spent about 2 hr 15 min on a dodge ram pickup yesterday & that time was only on the interior. I started out by using a 250 mph blower on the cab for about 30min! Guy ended up tipping me $40 as that was how he had bought the vehicle and knew it was in desperate need of my skilled touch.

Wow! That was horrible. Looks a lot better though! :dblthumb2:
