New Car Care

Nice to see the decon kit being sold by AG. Step 1, Soil/Coating Remover, is a great wash to use before detailing to strip everything off the car. Also the decon kit works great for removing minerals from water spots.

Very nice. I have been wanting to try this system for a while now..... all I have to do is wait for a sale!! :D

It's in the cart!!

What is the dilution ratio for these products? or are they meant to be used straight besides the shampoo?

EDIT:

Ok never mind I just found something help full on the FK1 site.

http://www.fk1usa.com/testimonials/Car Wash Magazine March 2003.pdf

Soil&Coating Remover - 4:1 Ratio(water : product)

Acid Based Cleaner - Use straight up? or at 4:1 ratio also?

Neutralizer Shampoo - 1oz:1gal

Part 2, acid cleaner, is applied directly to the paint via a sponge or some sort of applicator.

I have used this soap prior and I swear it will remove wax.

Maybe I used to much ... I dunno its the same green soap in a different bottle and has to be the most liquid of soaps (not thick) that I have ever used. It cleaned well but all beading and slickness seemed gone immediately after use.

Should you still Clay a car before using this Paint Decontamination System ?

As I remember FK suggests you dont need to ... I suppose it would then be up to you. I would do the baggie test after washing.

You do not need to clay before using the decon kit as it is much more powerful and effective than clay bar, so no need to waste clay.

Hi
I won this shampoo in the Labor Day giveaway and I tried it out today and it did not remove the wax off of my car at a 1oz/ 1gal of h20 dilution. I wil be posting my review of the product shortly.

Just got my decon kit and need to use it on my car tomorrow (sprinklers left hard water etching etc)

I am a little iffy about its suggested use, starting at the bottom of the vehicle and working up? Seems odd considering the bottom panels are far dirtier.

Also for step 1 with the soil and coating remover how exactly do I apply it?

Is it a pre-soak, or do I pre soak the car with the solution in a spray bottle than agitate with a mitt?

I need some help here because this looks like serious stuff!

True, alternatively I have heard people claying during stage B to increase the fallout removal. As well, a baggie test might show top fallout particles, however the system works to completely remove contamination under the particles and within all the areas of the paint microscopically. All heavy polishers will notice normal polishing sessions reduced in time and in residue within their pads.

DSMS,

I'm not an expert on the FK system, but I wouldn't do these steps outside in the hot sun. Do it in the shade at a reasonablely fast time.

Anyone who is working with this system should read this good flowchart:
