A Few Porsches

Hey thanks for the kind words people, I appreciate them very much especially since I am at the moment trying to pass a kidney stone:eek:

Gary Sword,

Porsche clear, as on 911's, Caymans and Boxsters is on the soft side while the clear on the Cayenne is very hard like a ceramiclear.

OptiSeal is a very nice sealant but it may not give the looks many people like and that's perfectly fine. I would rather have people not use the product because of "looks" rather than it looking great but having horrible durability :)

Thanks again,

Anthony

Now that's a nice blue...:applause: :applause: very nice...okay so we got Master Toto = Master of the Bimmers and we got Master Anthony = Master of porche...nice

Those are some very fine looking vehicles there. Thank you for sharing.

Good to see you around, haven't seen you in a wile...but then again who could resist detailing fine care like those ;)

Thanks Nica :)

That particular Porsche owner was like a kid in a candy store as we were detailing his Porsche. He invited friends over to look at it and we got several more cars out of it so that's always great:awesome:

I've been very busy with detailing and I take a lot of BEFORE pictures of my details but I'm either too tired or it's dark so I don't get any AFTER pics:D

Glad you all enjoyed the pictures, thank you

Anthony

Now you need to do an black/orange GT3-RS...now thats a wicked looking combo. Viper + GT3-RS in garage and I don't need any other car:cheers:. We have a guy we know that ordered that combo on his RS, just plain wicked looking. 1st P-car in a long time I liked, their new cars just don't excite me, and turbo is a total snoozemobile. What happend to the wild feeling 993tt, the raw turbo 964 etc....but the GT3 and RS mmmmmmm yummy.

I also prefer the nuba look but those cars have a nice look on them too. I think I'm going
to get some OS because I actually like having different looks on my car from time to time.
Usually I top with souveran 2-3 times (2-3 details that is) then on the next detail I'll use
NB and then back to souveran and then next time I'll do collinite. I think the OS is worth a try and if I don't like it then I'll use it on my wife's car or friends' cars that I detail. Why not? It's fun trying different products for me.
Or maybe I'll change my mind come next order... :p

Thanks Anothony!

A freind of mine is a real Porcshe nut. He has 7 Porsches from 1987 - 2005. They include 996's 930, 928's and 944. One of the 996's and the 930 are Turbos. He never has time to detail them and has been trying to get me to detail some of his cars. I finally told him I would detail some of his cars later on this summer when I have more time. He has a lot of other cars too. I think I could have a full time job just detailing he cars.

I hope your Kidney stone passes soon. I had one about 5 years ago. I can feel your pain just thinking about it.

Great work Anthony, and good luck on passing that stone.

I was particularly impressed by the Optiseal beading, that's amazing! Very carnaube-like in appearance. Zaino would have been long-gone by then...

Hello and thanks for the well wishes on the kidney stone.....it's like #6 for me:mad: I actually knew it was coming Tuesday and worked with some pain during the day as I detailed a black Carrera and then later after dinner it was getting really bad but I am a true Spurs fan so I had to watch the entire game 3 biting the bullet! I had some heating pads on my back, took some hot showers between quarters, drank lots of water and prayed :)

As soon as the game was over my wife took me in and I always love it when I get the morphine.....man that's some great stuff!

I'd be working right now but I have to go wee-wee like every 10 minutes because of all the water and meds I'm on...the pain I can deal with as it's not that severe right now but going pee so often is very bothersome.

Gary,

Good luck with those Porsches and you'll find that they are a pleasure to detail BUT the front fenders and rear quarter panels can be very difficult polishing when using a rotary. A PC may not be as difficult to traverse across the contours though.

Even though a Porsche is small it has an incredible amount of "items" or areas to detail and people don't realize this until they start detailing one....suddenly it's 6 hours later and they realize they have the interior to do still!

No car gives me the pleasure though of a Porsche in detailing.

P1,

Thank you. The beading was pretty cool and I wanted to wash a Volvo wagon Ron and I had detailed about 4 months ago which sits in the sun every day all day. It will be a great test to see how OptiSeal is holding up at the 4 month range on a daily driver which has seen hot Texas sun and days of heavy rain.

The neat thing about OptiSeal is hitting it with my pressure washer....I love the way the water reacts to the paint.

Thanks again,
Anthony

Great work by Mr. Anthony once again great depth on paint, and finish.

Love your work Anthony and the GT3RS except for the suede seats. I must say I don't really care that much for the Opti-Seal look.
Just curious.....what about the look of Opti-Seal don't you like?

Hi Anthony, Good luck on your kidney stones. I can feel for you. Had one about 5 yrs. ago, talk about pain, doubled me over from severe back pain. Dr. told me that most kindney stones are caused by dehydration. Remeber to drink lots of water this summer while detailing. 1 oz. of water per lb. of body weight.;)

OH OUCH on the kidney stones! I have them also and I know exactly whay you are going thru with them. Hope that you feel better soon!

Great job on the porches though.

Good luck! My back hurts just thinking about it!

Anothony it is allways a pleasure reading your threads, you do some awesome work.

Thanks for the compliments and also the well wishes:D

Happy Father's Day!

Anthony

Good grief........looks like a lot of us get kidney stones. Guess we all need to drink more water when detailing!!
