It's for both , inside and out, interior being the worst.
I washed the outside, clayed, sanded a couple of panels that was keyed, two step paint correction.
The interior took the longest.

I broke it down as follows.
$400.00 for interior and $400.00 for exterior.

It looks really bad but if you take on one task at a time it's simple:dblthumb2:

That's true.
The $800.00 wasn't too bad being I didn't have to stay only on this job being the owner gave me plenty of time, it's not like I lost money on other jobs.
In the end I'll have an extra $800.00 in my pocket:dblthumb2:
 
So you should come in at around $30 per hour

Not bad, especially since there is the potential for additional vehicles


Still wondering how spending $800 on a $3,000 car makes sense

If he got it for cheap enough and didn't have to put to much in it to get it to pass inspection. Who knows, he could be happy making $500+ on it. Maybe he bartered for it. I've met some crazy broke rednecks around here that'll trade and barter anything.

From what I was told he should profit 1k
I'll say it like this , if not for me working on it he would have been lucky to get $1500.00 for it.
IMO it looks like a $3500.00 SUV.
 
Well, I'm done, not perfect but much improved.
My customer could not believe it was the same car that he dropped off to me.

Washed
Removed contaminants using medium prep towel
Wet sanded the doors, was keyed
Step one. M105
Step two. M205
DG 601 bonding Agent
DG 105 sealant
Dressed tires. Meguiar's Hyper Dressing
Cleaned engine and dressed
Removed seats, cleaned them with Meguiar's APC, extracted.
Cleaned carpets using Meguiar's APC, DP Cleaning gun, brushes, extracted.
Cleaned headliner using Meguiar's APC, DP Cleaning Gun, MF towels, lots of them.

I'm happy with the results being how dirty this car was, it now looks like something :dblthumb2:

I know where the owners head is, TAX time is coming. That RAV4 will sell sitting in a Walmart parking like in 2 weeks easy. That's a perfect car for a high school senior.

Another way to look at it, if it doesn't sell keep it as a beater. I'll take that RAV4 for $2k if I'm reading between the lines correctly..

Those seats are TOAST man, but hey crappy seats never broke a deal.

He has a few more for me to do but not nearly as bad as this one.
