Hi all..

Didn't think there were too many Detailing Shops in Staten Island...
In my monthly coupon magazine , I ran across this ad

Does this look like a good deal?

Mike

I would pass that is way to cheap in my shop that would be well over $400. It says compounding, polishing, waxing and interior that has to be a production shop. No good detail shop would ever do all that at that price.

I agree with Todd

It can be that good if they are giveing it for 100 bucks

Old saying goes " Good detailers aren't cheap and cheap ones aren't good!"

Excludes insurance? So it is at your own risk if they screw it up?

this thread makes me feel way better about my pricing, the cheapest i've done an exterior for so far is $80, for one of my friends, his brand new (about 1 month old) hyundai sonata, i washed, removed bugs, cleaned the wheels and tires and sealed the vehicle (took about 6.5 hours total) also cleaned door jambs and did a qd wipe down inside the engine bay to remove dust. normally for an exterior with no paint correction i charge between 100 and 150, interiors also range from 100 to 150 depending on condition and includes everything, you can do to the interior...if i were to charge 100 bucks to clean a car inside and out i wouldn't be losing money but it would probably take me 14 to 16 hours and not be worth it for me. i would estimate the cost of 2 step correction, sealant/wax, tires, and complete interior to be 450 to 500 for a basic 4 door sedan

I missed the insurance part I would definitely not use them with no insurance.
