A good Plastic/headlight Polish!!?

Iceman...

how did you apply the PlastX???

How long have they stayed looking good after you polished them?

sorry man.

i did it by putting a dime to quarter size and spread it, then turn on drill on high and rub in for about 15 minutes on each headlight. sometimes more. these headlights are kinda bad, but most of the oxidation is on the inside, so they dont look too much better. but they did clean the outsidfe very well. then i went and did my 2008 headlights on my TAURUS X and i noticed a slight difference. man its nice!!!

I used the low profile orange pad that came with the Polishin Pal. I had a white pad that came with the Harbor Freight kit I had. It was taking some time to get the results I was looking for. Then I thought
about My Polishin Pal pads and ran in to get a orange pad. Viola! They came around much faster with the orange pad. If they are in really bad shape, start by wet sanding them with 1500 grit and step down to
2000, then start buffing with the orange.

i did buy the 3M Headlight kit that comes with a 3" backing plate and some sanding disks and polishing pad. the one they sell on here and at wal-mart.

im gonna be trying it soon on some INCREDIBLY BAD headlights. ill post up pics when i do it,. but it wont be for a lil while.

Any polish will do. It's just like wet sanding paint. Lately I've been using 2000 grit; Optimum Compound; Optimum Polish; Wolfgang plastic sealant. It clears right up.

I'm with you Jimmie. Just got some 3" pads, works perfect for headlights and glass correction.
