A Guessing Game: Is this car wearing wax or sealant?

Now, let's see the bad swirls quickly appearing without any protection. Im the MAN

Are you implying that lsp (wax / sealant) protect from swirls?
Lol. :nomore:

Do the test yourself... Strip any LSP from your car, polish the hell out of it, do a 50/50 shot comparing an unprotected area with let's say 3 layers of Klasse SG.

Keep us updated 3-4 months later!

Just making sure that was what you were implying

LSP will not prevent/protect against swirls...

It's more the opposite...

I wasn't surprised at all when I read your answer about this finish being LSP-free. A wax/sealant applied on a perfectly polished surface, unless you put manyyyyy layers, won't improve the finish.

On the other hand, it WILL protect against swirl-inducing contacts. I'm not talking about show waxes like Souveran, I'm talking about real protection like Collinite or Klasse.

I have polished out customer cars and applied Colli and Klasse (obviously not on the same car:xyxthumbs:) only to have the customer return months later with wash induced swirls which is why my experience has shown that they will not protect from swirls...

Lol it's not like a clear bra or something, but it'll greatly reduce them.

You should also teach the proper washing techniques as I do for all my customers.

That is part of my standard operating procedure after each and every detail.... I also sell products to my customers post detail

Teaching a customer and them doing it properly is sometimes two different animals

I agree.

Some tips that I've learned from the past...
1) Tell them that if they apply the techniques, next time it'll cost them 33% less because you can skip 1 step
2) I give, for free, ~20oz of ONR to all my customers and ask them to add it to each bucket even if it's a regular wash. It does miracles. Since they don't have to pay for it, it motivates them to use it
3) Emphasize on the fact that swirls/scratches aren't caused by rain, aren't caused by regular wear, 90% of them are caused by improper washing techniques

Yep....

I advise all customers that if they follow my directions on how to maintain we should never have to be as agressive as the first visit

I do not give free product

Yep... I discuss quite extensively the nature/cause of inclusions and how to prevent them

Sounds like we are pretty much on the same page as far as post detail consulation is considered:dblthumb2:

Hehehehe yes. :props:

But we aren't on the same page as far as good sealants protecting against swirls; not 100%, but enough to see a difference.
