A legitimate question!

I'm reminded of an old saying: "Find something you like and use it often."

I don't want to spend $300+ on a pressure washer. I'd rather take that money and buy a Flex. :buffing:

I've never found the need for one. Apart from the foam lance and using it to perform a spotless rinse using distilled water from a jug, a pressure washer puts out far less water flow compared to a hose so requires more effort to remove the soap (granting with the normal hose pipe you are using a sufficient nozzle).

I like the fact that my cheapy Karcher K2 can run from a bucket meaning I don't need a fancy water softening device. I can just buy a big jug of distilled water and at the end of my wash, stick the water intake into the jug and shower it over the car.

I love my pressure washers! :)

I have a larger 220v one rated at 2750psi and 2.5gpm (though I have it turned way down). I also picked up a cheep one which was on sale for $150 to use in my other garage (since I don't have 220 up there). It does an OK job but I must say that it seriously fails in comparison to my larger pressure washer. It may say it's rated and 1750psi but there is no way that it's actually putting that much psi out....at least not with the spray pattern fanned out.

Quick connects are definitely your best friend! IMO pressure washers save a lot of time when it comes to wheels, tires, wheel wells, engines, and salt/dirt covered cars. I also feel they help reduce maring by remove much more of the debris that a hose can't remove. As others have already stated, they are great for getting out all the dust after polishing too. :props:

:iagree:

Once you use a pressure washer on the wheels, wells, undercarriage, engines bays(including the cowl where leaves, sticks and twigs like to stay embedded) and floor mats you'll never want to go back. It is a definite time saver. I'd like to see a hose blast out 1/4" thick grease from the suspension parts and engine bay area.
