A little help with Wax longevity

Most of my clients have their vehicles serviced bi-annually, and the sealants I use on their vehicles are still going strong when it's time for their visit.

On my family's cars I apply a couple layers of sealant, followed by a traditional paste carnauba wax. M26 on Megs sealants, Zymol Creame on top of the Duragloss.

We spend a lot of time splitting hairs, but to some extent, we just have to have faith in the companies formulating, and manufacturing these products that they will perform as described.

Very well said. And true.

I agree with dlc95s post. However I do have to add that for the driveway detailers like myself who deal with our own cars, we're probably a bit more paranoid than many others. Partially because we don't so this for a living or because we've typically had less experience with a lot of different products than the professionals. I personally ran through this forum to see what products are worth it for me to purchase, piggy backing off a lot of the long time detailers or the professional ones.

The only thing I'd differ from dlc95 is for me, a product that lasts for 6 months in the weathers of Florida doesn't tell me how long it'd last over the winter month where the road salt eats through anything otc you'd put on your car. In that, I think there's faith in the manufacturer but the manufacturers durability is based off where it's tested, not necessarily the environment you live in.
