A little letdown with BF midnight sun

it's kind of funny, if you read the review of BFMS on Detailed Images website from Ivan Rajic from 5/28/12 he gave BFMS "mixed" reviews do to lack of feel or slickness. So, OP, your not alone in your observation. I have a new tub but havent tried it yet

Thanks for the explanation. If you still have beading then you have the protection for sure.

I will tell you that with 2 coats of BFWD as my LSP I had 4-5 weeks of slickness before I started to noticed it diminishing. Two weeks of slickness with BFMS seems OK by comparison, not god awful within this particular product line.

One thing you can do is a 50/50 test on your hood. On 1/2 do what you want to do and top with BFMS. On the other 1/2 do a full detail, clay, pre-wax cleaner or polish and then top with BFMS. It's not that you won't see a difference in slickness, it's how long the full-detailed side provides over the one you are just maintaining. That test will show you if you should disappointed in the product or your process.
