I'm almost embarrassed to be a part of this community and to post these pictures...

Here they are, hasn't been washed all winter, didn't need it until recently and the weather hasn't been warm enough to do it at home since..

The swirls, oh the swirls! Where did they come from (please do not answer)? I've never had so many in the paint on this car. Oh well, I'll live with them for a couple more months until the weather warms up a bit more and I can spend some quality time with the PC and Megs 105.

Is that an SHO edition of the Contour or did you add some things after market? If it is a factory SHO Contour what kind of power do you get frrom it?

Car looks nice.I'm jealous of your clear headlights.I cannot seem to get mine looking new again. We in central Cali have seen nothing but sunny 55-65 degree days during this drought so my car has not seen a dirty day since last winter. We really need the rain though.

Don't feel bad. My truck looks like it drove through a salt plant.

I'm waiting to buy some Duragloss rinseless to wash it lol.

There was only a SHO edition of the Taurus made. This is actually an SVT Contour (same group that builds the Cobras, Lightnings etc).

Aftermarket items include:
Pioneer headunit with iPod adapter
Top Shop fiberglass eyelids
Redline Tuning Hood struts
Mirko Racing front splitter (not pictured)
Painted grille oval (originally chrome)

Everything else is completely stock for the SVT (bumpers, side skirts, dual exhaust etc). Heck, I still run the stock BFG tires in the summer (only the second set the car has ever had).

For power 98-98.5 is rated at 195hp, 98.5 - 00 200hp. I've never had mine dyno'd, but being a 2000 it's rated for 200hp. While it's not the fastest thing ever, she gets up and moves when needed, especially when the secondaries open and approx 4K rpm and you get that extra air flowing!
