A little work on my 01 Cobra

Ha ha I always park far away from stores ect. My girlfriend gets so angry, she thinks im crazy. I once explained to her why I wont park next to a minivan

Me- "well its because minivans = little kids who like to play around and touch or open the doors fast".

Her response-" you always think everyone is out there to get you"

Only if she understood how much time I put into cleaningmaintaining my car.

:dunno:

I took my fiancee to a cruise-in in Naples. She saw an old Corvette and replied how it looked so new. I then explained that is why I am the way I am with my car. From that point on she got it.

Beautiful !

Thanks!!!

Your car makes me drool. I love the metallic color. Are you going with a new trunk and no spoiler?

Tim

That is the plan. I took the spoiler off and ran the plugs for a while just to see if I liked it. I do, so I am looking for someone with the same color car as me and no spolier that wants to trade. Either that or have the holes filled.

I have always been a big fan of your car and finally some pics that arent your avatar. Looks great. Love how the black wheels tie everything together.

Thanks man. I really appreciate the compliment.

Looks great man! Fan of ford myself :D I don't know why but I love the last pic in the parking lot

Nice work. Paint looks awesome and you got some great reflection shots there!

Did you have your front end re-painted at any point? Because with that many miles on it, I would expect it to have rock chips all over it. Also, it's self-validating to hear about other people parking in the back of parking lots away from all the other people that don't give a damn

Thanks! Yeah, I just had to take that photo. I was at Winghouse for lunch. I was sitting outside enjoying my lunch and just staring at the car.

Yes, the front end was repainted around 45K. Yes, it does have a lot of rock chips I do my best to keep it touched up though. I am going to have the front bumper repainted again soon.

I thought I recognized your car from MF.com. One of the best looking cobras with that many miles I have ever laid eyes on. Sweet ride man!

Thanks guys. Not only is the car 10 years old, but it is my daily driver. I take it from Naples to Ft Stewart (Savannah) and back atleast once a month, with trips to Atlanta, Augusta, and Tampa on a regular basis as well. It has 125K on it!
Wow!! Car looks showroom new. I was thinking it had about 50k miles or something really low on it.

Wow! That looks incredible! Great job.

Thanks!

I appreciate it. I really try to take care of it.

Love the New Edge bodies.

I agree. My favorite. Looks like you have a nice one hiding in that avatar!

Thank you for the compliment.

Damn, now that is one hell of a compliment. Thanks.

The car looks amazing man. I really cannot believe it has 125k on it.

That's a lot of hard work, dedication and complainig from the wife lol!

How did you like the 603? I have been thinking of buying one but wasn't sure about it.

Did the HC absorb into the pad more than a regular compound with if being thinner? Did you use less than you normally would? How did the sprayer hold up?

I liked the 603, and for the price, I can't complain. I used my AG bucks on it so it was under $150. The slow speed is around 1000rpm, which is not too bad as it has a soft start and variable trigger so I could spread the product.

As for the spray, it did seem to absorb in to the pad, but it still went pretty far. 2 sprays on the pad for each section. I really liked the polish. The sprayer held up fine. At first it would get clogged after one or two sprays. That is where people probably broke theirs. I just opened the nozzle a little more each time it did that and had no problems getting a spray and not a stream.
