A love affair with my old school buffer ......

Amazing machinery! It's nice to see "old timer" items that were built well before the words planned obsolescence were ever coined. Come to think of it I'm one of those old timer items :xyxthumbs:

I'm right there with you and love to see some older tools being cared for as they should be.

My oldest buffer, still works great, is a Craftsman Commercial 2 speed buffer / sander I bought new in 1967 or 68. While it isn't nearly as mature as the ones posted here it will always be part of my collection.

Thanks for posting some great photos! :props:

Love the look of those machines. They all look quite beastly. And HEAVY haha.

I have a VHS tape I found recentely from Meguiars circa 1990 on polishing. I was getting ready to send it to Goodwill. Do you want that for your collection Joe?

I have one of those old redheaded Milwaukees under the bench gathering dust Joe. If you want, I would be happy to send it to ya.

It will most likely go out when I get back from SEMA. OK ?

Hard to say. I only have the tape. The cover got lost 20 years ago

The title of the tape is:

DETAILER EDITION
Paint Protection Training Video

Professional Detailers Edition

c1990 Meguiar's Inc MG-DVA-90

Flash,
If Joe already has it, I'd like to buy it. Somewhere around the house I think I still have a working VCR. Still slinging my old Rockwell rotary from the 70's.

Oh man... taking me back in time...

I wrote the entire script for that video. I finished out at 60,000 words and we edited it down to around 40,000 words. Almost the entire video is shot in Voice Over so the script had to be reviewed and approved.

I also wrote the front, back and spine copy. It was one of my first projects when I went to work for Meguiar's the second time as their Corporate Writer. I also worked on the set for the entire shoot with Mike Pennington, the featured host of the video. Good times...

Here's a little better shot of it...
