A peek at Mike Phillips' new project...

I'm not sure who I'm more jealous of, Mike because he gets to detail it, or Max because he gets to drive it.

I've driven one of those, they are QUICK
Performance pack also nets you a higher top speed – 186 mph instead of 155. :hotrod2:

I inspected the paint, it's actually in excellent condition as one would expect for a brand new Mercedes-Benz from a reputable Mercedes-Benz dealership.

The good news is there's no sign of DISO, the Dealer Installed Swirl Option

In fact, after taking an initial look at the paint the only flaws I've seen area a few scant random, isolated shallow scratches here and there.

I needed a picture of a car with paint in excellent condition for this article and the same section in my e-book so this is good timing.

Also it doesn't look to be too bad to tape-off and cover up... there's a little plastic trim here and there and some gaskets in the seams that I'm going to tape over and I'll show this on the forum. The car is incredibly hi-tech...

Max has already been testing out the power...

GM does the same thing with the engines for the CTS-V, Z06, ZR1, and GS Corvettes. In fact the "Performance Build Center" in Wixom MI will be opening the facility for public tours on August 18, and I'm hoping to go. Should be a great time!

Quite the machine! I would think this would be a prime candidate for one of the new coatings rather than just the same old sealant and wax routine.

Hahahahah!!! nicely done Max!! You're putting that engine to good use.

Can anybody take a front end picture with all the LEDs turned on (no low beams)?

Does this also have the LED low beams? How is that?

Just a little behind the scenes Max info (he won't be happy I am sharing this), :bolt: Max is turning the big 60 so the new Mercedes was his birthday gift. At this rate it will make my gift look really small!! As you all know Max has brought this company from just a couple employees up to what it is today. I say with all that and turning 60 he deserves a new ride! Just hope he let's me drive it one day!
:cruisin:
As for the TT you couldn't have thought he drove that tiny car, that's his fiance car, I think he would have to put the top down to cruise in that baby!

That's a lucky fiance! I guess I can understand treating yourself given the circumstances.

As for the Max, I have not met him and wasn't aware of his stature. How tall is he anyway? I'm 6'2" and was hoping I could fit into a TT someday.
