Hi everyone, this weekend I went ahead and did A quick detail using only OTC products. I was curious to test out the Zymol cleaner wax that they sell at Wally world, vatozone, pep boys, etc. Overall for people that don't have a lot of time and want their DD to look good I think it worked out well.

Products used:
Megs interior quik detail wipes
Megs glass cleaner
Rain x
Mothers foaming wheel and tire cleaner
Megs QD
Zymol cleaner wax
Mothers metal polish
Assorted MF's
Ipod
Marlboro menthols

here are some of the pics:

This is what it started out as:

Thanks for viewing! :dblthumb2:

God Bless you son!!

Your Mustang looks gorgeous!!

I was thinking of heading to the car wash today to use their power rinse and my wash but I fell short.....

Looks Good!

This is cool, I always like the idea of getting a few otc products and doing a quick cleaning up.

Car looks good. Good to see a fellow chiver. How do you like that mothers wheel cleaner?

The stuff works wonders and is easily available if you need it. All I do is spray it on, let it sit for like a minute, then rinse it off and makes everything nice and clean.

I just started ordering stuff from AGO like my Porter Cable, pads and Blackfire swirl remover kit. Up until now I have used the OTC stuff. I always used the OTC stuff on my company truck and then if I liked it I would use it on my personal vehicle. Now I will probably use up the rest of the OTC on the work truck and then start use up the BF on it too. I'm eager to try different products.

Nice.:xyxthumbs:

It's still satisfying to see people have success with OTC products.

Very nice results!!! :dblthumb2:

Zymol is a quality cleaner wax, I've used it in direct sunlight, freezing temps, and have always had optimal results. I still have a bottle on the shelf for when the need arises for a quality cleaner wax. :xyxthumbs:

I regularly used on my old car before her demise at the hands of a drunk driver. :(

Everyone on MM hates on my HALOs but I'm content with them lol.
And I like the idea of the black hoodscoop on the MG

I like the Halo look on most cars, I'd have to say it does look nice on his mustang. My opinion of course.

Nice man. I to like you used to use a bevy of OTC products before I found this site and started reading. I still have most of them just because I didnt run out. Your car turned out good. Zymol is a good cleaner wax. I like the Mothers california gold right now for OTC wax.

As for wheel cleaner I went and bought some ZEP citrus at lowes that I use for the wheels and on the wheel wells. And you can get their glass cleaner concentrate for $10 so you can make a buttload of it lol.

Have to ask since I'm new here. What is KCCO?

I'll be all OTC as well. I can't afford or see paying $40 or more for car products. I don't understand either since this place sells Meguiars and 3M, which are OTC, what the difference is. Meguiars is what I have been using by hand for years since my favorite Eagle One stuff is no longer sold.
