I had a very tight schedule yesterday, and only had 4 hours to get my wife's Prius polished and sealed in preparation for winter. I don't have a lot of pictures because I was hammering full speed to get it done, but I do have a few pictures of the shiny things we all like to see.

Process -
Wash:
2 bucket method with dawn,
Pinnacle bug scrubber
APC+

Clay:
Mothers clay bar & lube

Polish:
Menzerna Power Finish
Hydro-tech Cyan 5.5 pad
PC original @ speed 6

Protect:
Wolf Gang DGPS
Dodo Banana Armour (special thanks to jpegs13 for sending me this to try out).

Car is washed and ready to start claying. The paint was not too contaminated, and I ended up focusing 90% of the claying effort on the bottom 25% of the car.

Pretty much the whole car had this level of scratching to take care of. I went with a brand new combination for me, and I liked the results so much it will be one of my go-to choices in the future. Specifically this was the first time I used the new hydro-tech pads (cyan) and Menzerna Power finish. The results were ... wait for it ...

legendary!

I also got a chance to try Dodo Banana Armour thanks to jpegs13. I really like how it smells, before I got a change to use it I would walk by and take a whiff every now and then. It was a bit more difficult to use/remove than Souveran, but it left a very nice finish and I am eager to see how it holds up in our winter months.

I really really would encourage others to try power finish with the hydro-tech cyan pad, the results were fantastic.

That is pretty!! Very nice color and nice finish. Looks like a lot more than a 4 hour job.:dblthumb2:

Nice job! Car looks beautiful. Enjoy the Dodo in good health!

Dang.... I wish I could do such a great job in 4 hours! That car looks way too clean to for winter :).

Thanks, I was really working hard to get that all done.

Again, thanks! I am sad that fall is ending and I am gong to be stuck inside for the next few months. It will give me a chance to try out ONR if I can find a heated garage.

I appreciate it. I need to take a break though, my shoulder is getting a bit torn up, but it's worth it to have the cars all shiny.

I LOVE banana armour. I have it on my newport blue pearl impreza and at night time in the light it gives off a purplish glow.

Hydro Tech pads and Menzerna polishes are superb together.

I can't believe that you did all of that in four hours! I'm feeling old and slow. :(

By the way, did you not follow the cyan HT pad with the Tangerine??

I decided to test out the claim 'cuts like orange, finishes like white' and didn't see any marring that needed to be finished up. The car positively glows now.

Wow. That's very impressive! I always follow the Cyan with the Tangerine, but I am almost always using the Cyan with M105 and it leaves just a bit of hazing behind.

Very nice work indeed. I hope to get our Prius looking this good eventually. :xyxthumbs:

That makes sense, from what I understand 105 is a non-diminishing abrasive, the Menzerna finishes down very nicely.

Damn, nice work! Dodo really brought some "richness" to that paint.
