So I was making a delivery in Cicero Illinois a couple days ago and noticed this unique vehicle parked out front of the business I was delivering to. Now being from Detroit I've seen Canadian vehicles that were the same as ours but with different names (Pontiac Firefly, Buick Allure, Pontiac Acadian and Beumont for example) but this is a vehicle from another country and NOT offered in any way shape or form here in the U.S.

Enjoy the pics!

I think we need smaller diesel trucks, at least offer diesels in half tons. I know they've been talking about it, but why not! Id buy one.

I've seen news that VW was considering bringing that small truck to the US. I wonder if this means there is some fact to the rumors?

It's from Mexico. I like it. I'd like it more with the roll bar in the bed.

Its actually someone visiting family, no mfg plates on it. Last year, in the same town, saw what I believe was a VW Fox, small car that sat up high, looked to be AWD maybe, it had Mexico plates on it too, believe it was a TDI also.

Yeah the RAM EcoDiesel is here and on sale, supposed to get 28 mpg on the highway. Its NOT a Cummins diesel either, not sure who's it is though.

Send it back...hmm, well seeing they're visiting friends and family they'll go back when they're good and ready to! Don't understand this as I was just showing the group something you don't see everyday, or anyday really!

The Focus RS from the late 2000's, not available here in the states, was spotted by yours truely in the suburbs of metro Detroit (Birminghmam to be exact) but this one had mfg plates on it, probably wanna send that one back too, huh?

Ahh klasse his comment was all in good fun I don't think he ment it as an insult. All of us appreciate something unique here and there. I personally think it's ugly as sin but it's cool to see something new. Thanks for sharing it. :)

I used to work at a Lotus dealership back in Detroit and the owner had a friend from Canada that brought his Pug in one time, IIRC it was a 405 from the mid 2000's, kinda of a big car.

Down the street from the shop is a weekly cars and coffee that's been going on for a long time and this French guy would bring various cars from his collection too, which included a Cossie Escort, Lancia Intagrale HF and Pug 205 turbo.

Many years ago, in the weeks leading up to the 2005 Woodward Dream Cruize I actually saw a Renault Clio Sport, wild!

Its going to take some time to convince people here about modern diesels, for some reason they can't let go of the late 70's/early 80's where GM took an Olds engine and converted it into a diesel. Ford even made a Tempo diesel, remember that.....yeah, me either, LOL!

VW has been going at it here for some time now, recently Audi has stepped in, along with BMW and ofcoarse MB has been here with diesels since the 70's. Now Chevy has the Cruize diesel, not really advertised a lot for some reason but its rated at better mileage on the hwy than the Jetta, but noone knows that, its a pity!

The Ram and Grand Cherokee both use an Italian 3.0 diesel. It's gotten great reviews. I just bought a used Passat TDI and it's amazing. I'm not a fan of front wheel drive so I'm debating looking at a used E class with a bluetec or a used 5 series BMW with a diesel.
My Passat is getting almost 40mpg in mixed driving

What year Passatt Matt?

Its a pretty strong rumor that the upcoming Chevy Colorado will be getting a diesel option, probably not right away but I know this, that thing looks really sharp too!
