So I have always been completely against TW products. Have tried them several times with worthless results. But I must say, after running out of my Meg's UQD, I went and bought TW Ice QD because it was on sale at the time. Now I am not saying this will permanently replace my Meg's, but I am also not at all going to say I dislike it. Slick, nice shine, lubricity was AWESOME, and it left no streaks. And although I use Meg's Ultimate Quick Wax after EVERY wash, I used the QD again today for a blueberry bird bomb in direct sunlight, and same results. I must say, I like this product quite a bit. Although 9 times out of 10 I only use my QD as a drying aid, it works well for small clean-ups too. If anyone has had any experience with this product please chime in. I would like to know what other people think of it.

Used it as a clay lube and thought it wasnt bad, havent tried it as QD yet but thanks for the input.

No problem. I just give about 4 initial mists on my WW drying towel, then just a spritz or 2 each panel after that... or as needed. Works great.

Personally I like their Ice products. I use the car wash and the detailing spray for years now. It leaves no smear or residue at all. I use the Meguirs Ultimate quick wax now. Love the smell and brings out the deep red in my ride. That spray from TW seems to last a lot longer then any other too. If I ever get a black car I really want to try the black box from them.

I did a black jag 2 weeks ago in which the owner asked me to use the carnauba blend from the black box as my finisher. He said it covered up his deeper imperfections. After the correction stage I went to open it and use it, only to find my fingers stained black before I even touched the car. Looked down at the bottle, and sure enough, the wax is blended with a black dye. After walking around the car and asking his permission to go on with out said dye wax. He decided that now that the car has seen a proper correction, there is no imperfections left to fill. I then topped with my go to combo of chemical guys BL and meg's gold class nuba. So in my one experience with one of the products from the black box. I would not use it. To each his own tough.

I've seen a few videos on that stuff and does stain pretty good. It does look like there's so much work to do with that product. Its 3 steps I would probley get tired out by the secound step. It took me 6 hours on my last detail that was just a wash, clay and wax. That ride would have to be in bad shape to use it. I'm going to stick with the ice proucts.

If you are looking for a "filler" type of product. I have had great luck with ez creme glaze with acrilyc shine II. Great product. Its a glaze so it has a slight filler property but it also adds a punch to the depth and gloss before wax or sealant.

The ICE spray wax isnt bad either. Good slickness, easy to use, and can be found on sale. Used it in a pinch once and about to buy some again. Pretty decent stuff.

TW Ice QD

-If you're talking about either the older/newer-packaged versions of The Turtle's synthetic detail-spray...

...I've used them both. (Same 'formulation' in both)

-Pretty good product for its category.

-Excellent, and one of the recommended products, for PPF.
(It's what I always use on mine!)

May I ask why you are using a WW to apply the Ice? Are you using it as a drying aid? If not, why not a mf or better yet two. IMO WW are for drying and glass.

I've tried their Ultra Gloss Detailer, from Platinum line.
Very Nice product, with nice coconut smell.
All other products of Turtle wax are junk.

I agree, I love the platinum line. The wax and QD are proof that TW can flex their muscles every once in a while and make a product on par with boutique brands.

how can anyone support such a terrible company?
I'll never throw another dollar away to them

My dad bought the ICE clay bar kit but I never tried the quick detailer with it. Just used meguiars quick detailer. The clay in the clay bar kit was terrible and fell apart halfway through claying the vehicle..

Comes with "clay bar lube" which is the same as their Detail Spray...

...at least that's what I've found after using so much of it with a ton of their clay that I don't care to count. I love the Detail Spray as a clay lube when I run out of the "clay lube" from the kit. I love the clay too, and considering all clay comes from the same company: Why wouldn't the clay be any good?

I've told so many people about the clay kit "deals" I find that I can't even begin to count the number of people I've told. I generally find the kits for about $6-$9. That means I buy two or more for the price of one of the other name brand kits and I've found the TW kits to work just as good. However, I don't really use the pre-cleaner and haven't found a need to.

EDIT:

I don't care what the label says, it's the product inside that counts. My experience (many, many, bottles and clay bars) tells me they're worth what I pay for them and that they work. They smell good too. If I didn't find the deals I do on them I'd still have no issue using the clay bar kits...just for the juice and clay.

For what I've needed thus far I haven't found a clay kit, regardless of the big 3 name brands, that has failed at the intended job. All have performed flawlessly and I've had good results and have complete confidence in all 3 name brands, Meguiar's, Mothers, and Turtle Wax Ice kits. Can't get any more un-biased than that!

I use it solely as a drying aid. And I would never have bought it normally. But I ran out of my meg's and it was on sale.

I'm not biased at all, just sharing MY experience with their clay kit. You tried the kit with the blue clay right? The stuff literally started deteriorating halfway through claying a chevy tahoe. And the car has been garaged it's whole life, barely driven. My mother's clay kit has never failed me, surely never deteriorated either.

My step son likes Ice, but I use it on the snow thrower and lawn tractor only becausr it doen't stain plastic trim.

I have the same opinion on the black box stuff, don't waste your money.

There are lots of guys in my Mustang Club that use the Ice QD and love it. I won a sample at a show and used it and liked the look. It was easy to use, didn't smell bad and didn't streak and left a good shine.
