I've come across some bald-faced hornets and they are just MEAN. The moth was still there today, I moved it to a tree limb in the shade. I don't think it's feeling too good, it's moved it's wings a bit but didn't try to fly.

Wow, read up some more about this moth, you are very lucky to have seen this. Apparently adult moths after pupating only live for about a week. They have no mouth parts as adult moths!

I was reading that it doesn't feed as an adult, probably why it is getting so weak-acting.
 
Very cool! Never seen one so colorful!

We had a moth outside the living room window last Sunday night that was so large I thought it may have been a bat at first! Wife was freaked out! :)
 
When I first bought my house, I was out grilling a nice steak. I went to go flip the steak and this is what was waiting for me

LMAO!!! Only a few more months, Ed, and I'll be back in good ole Maryland. I can't wait!!! But I was scared as heck when I saw this thing...it was huge!
