2014 Kia Forte that doesn't get driven much (2700 miles) and sits on the street. Last wash was about 6-8 months ago and was a gas station car wash.

Before:

First I took it to a coin op to spray off anything I could which was a waste of money. I did manage to clean the tires there though with an all purpose cleaner. At home I used Meguiar's ultimate wash and wax anywhere, clay bar, original bike spirits spray cleaner and polish for the wheels, endurance tire gel and finally Meguiar's white wax applied by hand.

After:

6 months between washes and last wash was a GAS STATION wash!? OMG, my stomach is turning, lol

I know I know, but it's a Kia and a lease

It will be getting weekly or bi weekly washes from now on though. It took too much time/effort to get it looking good again.

I tell my kids, "Spend 10 minutes everyday picking up your messes so you don't spend half your weekend cleaning a disaster!" I live by that.

I have a Hyundai and treat it like a Porshe. Make and model should mean nothing but I guess I am different. I take care of the things my hard earned $$$ goes towards.

I'm a firm believer in:
"the less a vehicle is touched" mantra.

Glad to see that your intervals, between
vehicles' wash-sessions, mimic mine! :D

The less paint is touched, the better. That's why coatings are taking over the industry by storm. They eliminate the need of constantly having to maintain. I can go almost a month without washing. I actually want it to rain now when before coatings, I cursed it. Driving in rain practically washes the car.

I'm with Bob on that. I don't get OCD about maintenance washes, only with details. Until coatings I would do a full correction every couple of years on our personal rides, and AIO details every six months or so. Washes... eh, whenever I get a round tuit.
