If you are ordering Meguiars M21 you don't really need Gold Class, although they make a winning combo. M21 already has an amazing look, Gold Class adds lots of slickness. :( but GC also has very little durability.

EDIT: you could replace GC with 360 as stated above.

You might want to add something for the interior. I don't see any protectant listed, but you might want to try something that can be used on all surfaces.

:D I am the same age as you. I don't really detail so much for money though.
EDIT2: no we aren't the same age...I'm a tad older

I'd change #21 for Four Star UPP, or DP Surface shield. Both are easier to use and results are stunning. Maybe add some Megs APC, I trully did not find any good use for Simple Green, especially during allergy season.

i thought about the 360 with nick but decided agaisnt it. i forgot why. lol

my basic formula
wash+ clay+ wash+polish+seal+ wax

what should i use for a normal wash? im looking for something that last the longest

Meguiar's Hyper wash. It dilutes 400:1 I am not sure if there is one that dilutes more.

Youll need to do something between polish and seal. Either alcohol wipe down or another wash. You dont necessarily have to do another wash between clay and polish. Some do some dont.

For customer cars Ill be using Meg NXT soap. For my car I use DP Xtreme foam. NXT is a strong soap thatll get rid of wax and caked on grime. PB bug squash is great to use for that caked on grime too. Or you could go with DP exterior cleaner and use it the same way. It can also be used as an engine degreaser. DP total interior cleaner can be used on ALL interior surfaces except windows.

When detailing cars its a good thing to do is look for universal products like the DP total interior cleaner and XMT 360.

I used it before and never liked it. It doesn't clean very well, or maybe it's just me spoiled by Poorboy's SS&S.
Oh, yeah, Hyper Wash smells like an after shave found in local 99 cents stores...

I like #21
Good shine, and fantastic protection

Thats after 2 ish months. I have had the same 2 coats on for about 5 months.

I will warn you that it isn't the most stable product ever. I would recommend putting M21 into really small bottles, so if the product becomes water then you only lost a small amount. It spreads thin though!

why is every one agaisnt mg #21?
Megs #21 is easy to use, average durability/results sealant.
Four Star UPP, Wolfgang DGPS, DP Surface Shield are super easy to use. You will see the difference when you work in a full sun. As far as NXT, I'd rather get some Gold Class shampoo, if you are going Meguiar's route. Or get both.:)

I have tried glass and am going with the nxt wash.

How much better or worse is the 360?

360 or meg #21

In your situation, where you want to apply a wax after the sealant in the same day, #21 is the ONLY sealant that doesn't need to "cure" or "dry". That's why detailers use it. The other sealants need to "cure" for up to 24 hours.

360 is a "AIO" (all-in-one cleaner, and remvoes some swirls, and adds a little sealant protection as well.

Both are two different products.

Meg's #21 produces very nice results and you'll be pleased with your purchase.

Here's some nice pictures... Mercedes McLaren SLR.. propperly prepped and topped with #21.

I love using #21, even though there's sooooo many sealants out there.. no "curing" time, and you can add even MORE depth and shine with a wax, right after. Doesn't get any better...
