great responses. the replies do show different strokes for different blokes.

i know i've said this before but the various choices do beg for sample kits like some other sites offer--even if its by brand lines. it would lessen the fear of impulse buying new items and being stuck with full-size bottles that didn't meet our lofty expectations. i have a couple already...
