So i was about to get one of the cellphone credit card processors but quickly realized its not that simple... There are more then just the "square" MANY MORE and all of them charge different rates and what not.

What method of credit card processing do you guys use? Im just starting out so im not going to be pulling in huge numbers per month. Im looking for one that doesnt have a cancellation fee and no monthly fee.

If some one could point me in the right direction that would be great. Thanks guys :)

I use a square reader, and haven't had any issues. I let the customer know there is a 3% service charge, and they don't mind.

Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I777 using AG Online

I use Paypal here at 2.5% and payments are instantly available via my paypal business debit card.

I had square before and use to let my balance climb before I had a chance to transfer to my personal checking. Took up to 3-5 days to transfer. The one time I let my balance climb to over $2500, square wouldn't release my funds for over 30 days!

I just looked into one called PayAnywhere and its rate is 2.75% but no monthly fee. Now does that 2.75% get charged to me or the customer?

I use paypal. no monthly or start up cost. they charge 2.70% and the money is available in my paypal debit card right away(which is free also)/ square is also good. you can get both since there are no monthly charges for either.

The percentage is charged to you. i do i charge my customers a 3% convince fee.

Square for me as well. No complaints. Never thought about charging a 3% convenience fee. Interesting 👍

We use Plus by EMS. It's free to sign up and get the card reader and has cheaper rates than Square.

And all the while they were making interest on it, I can see a class action lawsuit in their future for that.

Yep! When I called to see what the problem was they told me they would release my funds pending review. 30-60 days! They released my funds 31 days later and I switched to paypal. End of story.

You can use your square for the instant swipe with a Paypal account. :)

I use square although there are other readers with a little lower fee. I never charge the customer a fee. To me I hate when people charge me So I don't charge my customers. It's just another cost of doin business, eat it upfront and write it off.

Seems like i just replied to one of these threads just a couple weeks ago here.....

Anyway, Square.

Square for me as well. Free reader and to me very low fees. For the convinience I would gladly pay a few dollars for every hundred I get.

I also like how you can have a Square website that can be linked through your website to view prices.

i use square too, what do you mean you can use "square website" to view prices?

I haven't launched mine yet as I am doing the finishing touches. Basically what you have for packages through your mobile square app is visible online.

You go into your square dashboard, then to then click on business in the header. Options to link social media and your site are there as well as listing your business on squares businesses site.

You can create a link which you can add to your site. I will be adding the square symbol which is clickable and will redirect you to this address.

Another vote for Square.

It also has a fantastic app for the iPad. I usually carry that with me as my little register.

We use Square at my company.
No problems and the money goes into the bank account the next day regardless of the amount.
