Wow, you ma'am are a different breed. Could you please call my wife and "shop" with her on AG's site?I feel your pain! We just placed our second order in two weeks! The husband and I are a dangerous pair! I want to buy because "it's on sale" and of course I love to shop. The husband wants to buy the power tools and other stuff. Then, the other day I found myself criticizing the neighbor when he was washing the car! I thought he was going to kill me! The look he gave me was priceless...and he couldn't imagine why a woman would know anything about detailing! He said he had never heard of claying! Imagine that!:autowash:
You might be an AG - If your required reading list includes the AG Forum.
You might be an AG - If you know more about products than the "expert" behind the counter at the auto supply store.
You might be an AG - If your Christmas, birthday, anniversary wish list revolves around AG sales and BOGOs.
You might be an AG - If you clean your vehicle in the motel parking lot when on vacation.
You might be an AG - If you care as much about forum members as much as your local friends and family.
You might be an AG - If you see and talk to your neighbors while you're detailing your vehicle, and that's often.
You might be an AG - If people ask "Is that new?", and it's 5 years old.
You might be an AG - If you always have a clean driveway because of the rinse water from washes.
You might be an AG - If there are more containers of wax in your garage than there is cans of food in the pantry.
You might be an AG - If your water bill is as high as your heating bill.
You might be an AG - If you simply take pride in your vehicles, and want them to look good at all times.
you might be an AG if you've ever thought about polishing the washing machine.
[I agree with above...
Also, you know you're an AG when you see other people (neighbors primarily) washing their cars this way:
1) Direct sunlight, usually around noon...lol
2) Using a walmart sponge on the tires, wheels, undercarriage AND paint!!! same sponge.
3) Drying the car using old and tattered BATH TOWELS... they usually have their kids help do this.
When I see the above happening, I stop and cringe.... like nails on a chalkboard.
#1 can be hard to avoid so I won't be too critical of people doing that. There's only so many hours of sunlight in a day.
#2 I have to confess that I use a Walmart microfiber mitt for the wheels, tires and wells. For the paint though I use a Meg's mitt.
#3 is cringe worthy. IME terry bath towels do dry the car faster than with a waffle weave towel, but you'll end up spending a lot more time in the long run polishing out all of the damage caused by them.
you might be an AG if you've ever thought about polishing the washing machine.
You are definitely an AG when you start threads like this one!!

Here is another one. Every store I go into (grocery, gas station, flower shop) I look for the auto detailing section.
