Well heres another question for everyone...what about extra jobs such as headlight restoration, window chip repair and paint chip repair (these are the 3 main ones i can think of but if anyone else has others they offer I'd love to hear about them)

I feel pretty comfortable with headlights...a decent wet sanding, good compound and polish and a nice sealant seems to do the trick. (I've been using Megs 105/205) I would like some advice on pricing thou...any feedback?

Now for Paint Chip repair I read up on Dr. Color Chip and it seemed to work pretty good, but you can still see the chip...its just the color is matched up real well when your done. Is there anyone here who offers this as a service and if so, what do you use (product and procedure?) and what do you usually charge?

As for window chip repair, a family friend of mine has a rock chip on her windshield i could probably use to practice on, but i really have no clue on the subject as to what to use...how to do it and how to determind if the chip is too bad to be done or not.
Again any feed back would be great as far as product/price/procedure.

Thanks everyone, hope you can help me out (again) :)

I am recieving interest in headlight restorations lately, I think there is quite a market for it. I'm a M105/205 addict as well, what is your procedure, and how much time do you typically spend on them?

I think paint chips might get expensive as you would need to have the proper touch up paint. Also, depending on how well the car was taken care of, you might not get an exact match anymore.

There is definitely a market for head light restoration as most of the modern headlights haze over/oxidize over time. The guy that put on my clear bra is also a detailer so that could be a profitable market. Perhaps you could offer head light restoration followed by clear bra on the headlights to prevent further oxidation?

As for windshield repair - I think the kits are awefully expensive but there could be a market for that too.

I did a write up on how i did my head light restoration here ...just note that there are better ways to seal it other than plastx...If you use Plastix as a last step...its probably a good idea to do it every couple weeks or so to keep UV rays out.

Heres the link: http://www.autogeekonline.net/forum/show-n-shine/25948-first-headlight-restoration-96-taurus.html

Also heres a link to a pretty interesting UV protactant idea that i read (note its about 11 pages long but a good read lol): http://www.autogeekonline.net/forum...eadlight-restoration-new-uv-sealant-idea.html

Still hoping for more feed back on other side jobs if anyone has ideas...thanks
