Adding onr to soap bucket

I use it in my soap and rinse bucket. Over cautious I guess with a black truck. Swirls are still minimal on my truck two months after FG400. And it gets used as a work truck. Suds do tame down a bit. But figure the lubricity is still there.

I also have a black truck its the reason I started using this combo.:buffing:

Only reason to use ONR with car wash soap is to soften the water and bind to the impurities in the water so the car wash soap can work better. Add a couple drops of ONR first to a full bucket. No reason to use much more than a couple drops. Then add the car wash soap.

Wow, been using about a forth of an ounce or so. I'll cut back and save some ONR.

Any downside to using more than an ounce in 5 gallon wash bucket?

Out of interest, has anyone ever checked with optimum wheter onr has anionic or cationic character?
You should never mix additives unless you know this info about both of them.
If they don't match, it would be like using a fire extinguiser instead of lighter fluid on your bbq.
^^^Good point...Thanks!!^^^

(Hope you don't mind)...
Zwitterionic-surfactants may, or may not, have anything to do with ONR's formulation...
I just like saying it.

From the ONR description on Autogeek:
"Add 1 ounce to wash water made with your regular car wash. No Rinse Wash & Shine’s advanced polymers and lubricants offer more surface protection and slickness than ordinary car soap alone. It acts as a water softener and conditioner to improve the quality of the water that touches your vehicle to provide the ultimate safe wash."

Lol Bob it may... that said, the fact that they say there is nothing hazardous in the ingredients list suggests otherwise. There are very few surfactants, of any kind, which don't have to be identified on a data sheet (assuming they are present at a useful level). So you have to assume that ONR thus doesn't contain them.

OK, cool. It may be that it does not have any ingredients which would conflict with anything else, which is interesting. You shouldn't adopt this approach with most chemicals, very often you will encounter the problem I noted.

I agree completely.

ONR was killing the sudsing of my OCWC solution so I stopped adding it.
That means your using too much ONR if it kills your OCWC. You only need a very small amount of ONR to soften water when using regular car wash soap. This is what I have found, anyways.
