Adhesive On Paint

Is the adhesive sticky or like a dry ruff haze surface ? if it is stick try a adhesive remover like goo gone or try heating the suface with heat and see if lite scraping with plastic razor will help if it is hazy and ruff then you are going to have to wetsand then compound the surface
 
If there's a car quest near you go buy their sem remover I believe its called. Its a wax and grease remover. Works effortlessly on adhesive. Safe paint too!

The adhesive is way too thick. Tried everything including steam but one thing I have tried ia a foamy degreaser then applied an xpel applicator slide but its way too long on the process. Tried 3m adhesive remover as well but same thing. Here see the result from degreaser and the slide thing

That blue plastic razor came from xpel film it serves as an applicator for door sills anti scratch film.
 
Try Auto Tech "Quick 'n Easy Heavy Duty Specialty Adhesive Remover" it's what the car wrap guys use to remover old vinyl. I've used it and its the best. Alway do a test spot no matter what the manufacturer claims.
 
Enamel Reducer will remove the adhesive and not harm the finish. (do not use lacquer thinner)
 
Kerosene works as well.

Great guys thanks for the tips and advice. This vehicle is old and had a paint correction with rotary from a low grader detailer years ago and made its clear coat so thin and uneven. The paint was so thin and very soft. You can easily rub a polish on a small cut piece of finishing pad and it will erase few minor scratches and deep. With the original stickers its all over both sides from front to rear panel. This is like a serious operation and restoration. Thank you guys for the help.

Maybe this is simple and obvious to say, but here goes.

As you're working with your adhesive remover, remember that once the fibers of your towel get clogged up with removed adhesive, you'll then just be rubbing with no effective adhesive removal until you turn your cloth to a clean spot, re-spray and re-wipe. I think a lot of folks spray and rub-rub-rub with very little removal and don't think about this. (I did at first)

You typically only get a few little rubs with decent adhesive removal then the remover seems to stop working, that is until you turn your towel for another square inch of effective adhesive removal. It's a long process regardless of what chemical you use, and bad technique only makes it worse.
 
3M adhesive remover and a plastic razor blade. I had really good luck with this stuff. You need to start with the plastic razor blade very soon after spraying it with the 3M. Do a small area at a time so you don't have to keep spraying. The spray seems to dry out pretty quick.
 
Great. How long did it take you? Well I guess it also depends on a climate and age of vehicle. I'm in a tropical and the vehicle is year 1996. Unbelievable it took me 5 hrs doing only one side on my process with soap+plastic razor+steam+baking soda,salt,vinegar. It's called experiment. Well on the next one will be 3m+plastic razor. Anyway heres a few shots on the result:
