Advanced Detailing: 70 Chevelle Pro-Touring

My friend who builds these badass rides called me to detail the Chevelle before the owner came to pick it up to take to Tennessee for a carshow.
The car was build two years ago and is still in incredible condition even though it gets driven often and hard.
I forgot to ask about the details of the build, but i saw that it does have an LS motor, air ride suspension etc.
I didn't take any before shots because the intentions were to clean it up a little, given the limited time i had and then the owner was going to be talked into a full blown detail at a later date. When i saw the car under the shop lights, the minor swirls were obvious, surprisingly once i started, the paint was improving dramatically.
I then realized that i should have taken before shots...oh well.
I did meet the owner and he was impressed but i did explain to him that we could do much better, so maybe when he comes back from his trip.
My friend Jeremy has also built him two other cars.
I used 3M S/R and ultrafine followed by DGPS.
Too bad it's been cloudy with afternoon thunderstorms here in south Florida since monday so there are no sun shots.

That car enters most of the car shows i go too or show my car in.The car looks so much better in person then from the pictures posted.From what i gathered from last weeks show at Diamond Dolls the owner is looking to get somewere $145.000 for the car and rumor had it he had over $100.000 grand into the car .

It looked way better after i got done with it but you're right, because of the weather i could not get better shots.
The son-in-law of the guy with the 10 Camaro and brown truck came in and told me that his father in law also owns a ZR1 and that they would want me to detail the camaro and the vette and his own 09 Charger after he saw the Chevelle.

I know that most of the cars that Jeremy builds are in the 6 figures, like the pro touring camaros i posted before.
But they look awesome.

I hope he will let me do a better detail on it eventually. The car already looks amazing but there's room for improvement.
He took my card and complimented me on a job well done, so i'll have to wait and see.

I finished my day with a wash and wax on this for a new cuatomer.

And the motorhome the Chevelle was picked up in.
This guy travels in style.

Awesome car...

I have a 24" monitor and I have to horizontal scroll to see all of the car which actually means I can never see the entire car because as I scroll to one side to see the missing portion of the picture , the part I can see scrolls off my screen.

A good size to ensure all people can see the entire picture without having to horizontal scroll is about 800 pixels wide, like this,

800 Pixels Wide

Still plenty big to tell the story...

I knew my pics were pretty large but i thought on AG they were automatically resized.
On my computers they always show sized much smaller with no need to scroll.

They resized on my computer too so really no biggie but when I opened it the hood was on my tv and the trunk was on my ipod.

That's funny man, i had set my camera that way a while back and never changed it, i was thinking of blowing up new pics to put on the side of my van and they need to be pretty large already to still look clear when blown up.

They are resized if you upload them to the AG Gallery but your photos are hosted on Photobucket except for the one I resized and uploaded to your gallery here.

On Photobucket I'm pretty sure you can select an image size and then get the code for that size but I don't use Photobucket so I'm no pro, I have my own website with my own PhotoPost Gallery.

I just pointed out what was showing up on my browser and with 24" monitors I'm still having to horizontal scroll, so I'm guessing that anyone with smaller browsers is also having to horizontal scroll and that means they can never see the entire picture at one time which means they don't get to see "all" the beauty at one time. Kind of shorts your work is all...
