Advanced Detailing: 135i
This one belongs to an employee of one of my regular customers with a CLK 63 Black Series.
She got it just a few months ago but it already had some issues with swirls.
This is NOT a full paint correction as it's her DD and she would't want to pay for a complete correction anyway.
Some parts i tackled with Menz Power Gloss when i wasn't getting the desired results with 3M swirl remover.
The remaining parts i did use the 3M followed by Menz 106.
As you can see in the after pics, not everything was taken out.
But most importantly she was extremely happy because she got more than she had expected.

Great work and great attitude-cuz if they don't pay for the whole shebang then why overwork it?

I already gave her a little more than what she wanted, because i don't like to do any work looking unfished and have my name attached to it.
To her this was beyond anything she had ever had done before but we of course look at it with different standards.
She has seen my work on her boss' Black Series.

Got your point bro. We all get those inqueries...myself turn a lot of them down and send them to the competitors. This is year 10 and I have my hands in developing compounds, polishes, machines and chemicals.

But that's just me and it doesn't take anything away from your work. Very well done!

I agree with you, it's year ten for me also and i can't remember how many people i have declined over the years.
Some will say that it's better to make a little less as long as you stay busy but i have always insisted to only do the work if people were willing to pay for my quality.
Down here in south florida there are what seems like hundreds of detailers driving around , not to mention one at every corner gas station. It would be easy to submit to the pressure of those low prices just to stay busy but i refuse and really never had to.
People with any sense know that you'll have to pay more for top quality.

It all comes down to be able to get paid. I live in Sweden and here the average detailer don't have any education in chemicals. They kind of set the agenda för the rest of the market, some products I want Swedish suppliers to produce will not happen due to the average standard.

I use high quality products to the best of my knowledge straight through and has now own line of compounds and polishes tailor made. Will go to my biggest chemical supplier the 8th of March to meet their chief chemical expert and fine tune products I use and to check out new products and new environmental demands and standards. I test products for 4 different companies, develop for 3 of them and thus I charge more than the newbies and the guys who have a hard time getting paid.

To top it off the Municipality Of Värnamo City gave me the Environmental Award 2009 for my work. Lower the prizes? I don't think so........
