Advice for 2013 WRX Cutting/Sealing Techniques

Meguiars Unigrit 3 Inch Professional Backing Plate and Adaptor Kit, backing plate with adapters, meguiars backup pad, DBP3
This one comes with a 5/16 thread, also comes with other adapter that I don't remember. They come loose so save the bag or put in a container or you could lose the spindles when not attached to the bp

Great thanks you! Wish I bought this stuff with my purchase yesterday. Would have saved me some monies. So far I have:

Lake Country 5" Backing Plate
Lake Country Compression Washers
Lake Country 5.5" Pads (Two Orange, Two Pink, Two Grey)
Meguiars Soft Buff 3" Backing Plate

Now I have to figure out what pads to get with the 3" backing plate. I see you linked to the microfiber cutting pads. Would it be a good idea to mix the microfiber with the foam pads on a single job? Would that make the finish uneven? Should I stick with foam pads for the 3" backing plate?

You also might want to consider Meguiar's Ultimate Compound if you do have to compound. It is derived from M105.

I'll try the HF, but will most likely pick up another backing plate and the Meguiars thin pads. This is getting expensive!!
